We are a Non-Profit organisation that works with vulnerable children in the public school system to improve their lives and school performance. Founded in 2012, Food for Education provides subsidised, quality school meals everyday with a goal of feeding 1,000,000 kids by 2025.

We had an unforgettable time at #GCNForum2024, hosted by the Global Child Nutrition Foundation in Osaka, Japan! So, what were we up to? We led an exciting workshop on optimizing operational efficiencies in school feeding programs coordinated by our very own Shalom N., Nicola Okero and Imelda Oduori Our Founder & CEO Wawira Njiru took the stage on a panel to highlight how innovation is key to advancing child nutrition goals. We connected with amazing stakeholders curious about our approach to #FeedingTheFuture and our bold new Pan-African strategy. Together, we’re transforming food systems to fuel every child with nutritious meals and limitless possibilities. Check out some highlights from our time in Osaka—it’s been an incredible journey!

Earlier this month, we brought together all our suppliers from across the country for a capacity building workshop. We shared our history, mission and our ambitious, audacious growth plan as we work towards our north star of feeding 1M children everyday.
