❗❗ INTERNATIONAL STUDY VISITS CALL ❗❗ 🌲 FOREST4EU Project is pleased to announce the International Study Visits call! This is an opportunity to explore in person the innovations and good practices developed by the Operational Groups across the Europe! 🌲 ✈ You'll have the chance to travel to discover more about them and to gather with OG's members and other people interested in the field of forestry and agroforestry. 📃 Each study visit (5 in total) will take place in the context of one of the five different Innovation Topic Hubs on which FOREST4EU Project is working on:  1. Wood mobilization; 2. Forest adaptation to climate change; 3. Sustainable Forest management and Ecosystem services; 4. Non-wood forest products; 5. Agroforestry systems. 📌 It’s time for another #BioPills post - this one from BBioNets! 😉 ♻️The #CircularBioeconomy in primary production focuses on maximising #biomass utilisation within the #agriculture, #forestry, and #food production sectors, all with the goal of enhancing #sustainability.🌱 Earlier this year, our Forest and Agriculture Networks organised a series of workshops to identify the key biomass #resources available and assess their current #applications across the six #BBioNets countries (Ireland, Spain, Greece, Italy, Poland, and the Czech Republic). 💡 🔎 The #FANs also worked to pinpoint and prioritise the essential processing #needs necessary for a socio-ecological transition towards a fully circular economy. 📝 Our first #article, prepared by project partner Teagasc, provides an insightful synopsis of the collected information. The 3rd and last Policy Focus Group for Central Europe in the context of FOREST4EU Project was held on Oct 16th, 2024. This group brought together a diverse range of stakeholders, including forest owners, managers, policymakers, and researchers, to discuss the optimal framework for fostering innovation in the forestry sector.
