🎉 We will never get this moment back again. What I love about this campaign is that it has allowed us to create memories and unite extraordinary people who may never have met without this shared cause. One proud moment was gathering over 30 of Chicago's trailblazing founders and VCs to support the Harris-Walz campaign—driven by a shared purpose and a commitment to a stronger future. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Manuela Zoninsein and Andy Dunn for their warm hospitality and to everyone who made the evening unforgettable. We were honored to welcome Samir Mayekar, former Deputy Mayor of Chicago and a champion for the city’s startup ecosystem, who shared powerful insights on navigating the Covid crisis and Kamala Harris’s vision for supporting small businesses. We are incredibly grateful to Richard Garcia for his exceptional leadership in empowering small businesses and to Chandra Chouhan for her impactful work in Wisconsin, guiding us on the ground—a testament to the power of collective effort. I was proud to co-host the reception alongside Ibrahim Rashid, MPP, National Chair of Muslims for Harris, and to stand with this incredible community as a Co-Chair of Founders for Kamala. We've maintained this momentum, and we’re not slowing down. The stakes are too high, and the future depends on this election. Now is the time to show up—not just for ourselves but for each other. We are committed to making history. Are you ready? Go Vote. 🗳️ Stay encouraged. Keep pushing forward. #DoSomething. 🚀

On the eve of the 2024 Presidential Election, I'm taking a moment to reflect on what this election means to me. I think of Alexander Hamilton and the many founding fathers and mothers who dared to imagine a new kind of nation, and I wonder how they might view this moment. I think about every American and recognize that, like grief, this moment feels different to all of us, even though we are experiencing the same life-altering event. No matter the outcome, I stand proud knowing I contributed what I could to the vision of America I believe in. In just under three months, I joined forces with complete strangers to build Founders for Kamala. For the first time, I spoke publicly about my political convictions, setting aside any fears about how this might shape my reputation. The truth is I've never been a full liberal or full republican, and probably never will be. But, when so much is at stake, silence is not an option. This weekend, I voted for Kamala Harris. I voted for women. I voted for freedom. I voted for this country to move forward, past the political divide that has plagued us since the onset of the 2016 election. I voted for leadership that values all opinions, not just the ones that agree with them. I voted for an opportunity for all of us to create change together, red or blue, black or white. Last month, I got to experience one of the most special nights of my life seeing Hamilton the Musical on Broadway with Jennifer Iannolo, Executive Operations Co-Chair and Cofounder of F4K. There's something to be said about meeting extraordinary people using their talents and gifts to create good in the world. Those are the people I surround myself with. "America then told by America now." - Lin-Manuel Miranda

The work of our coalition, Founders for Kamala, is crucial in this election cycle, and I’m grateful that Jon Chesto at Boston Globe Media has recognized our efforts in today's article, highlighting the power of grassroots movements and the need for diverse voices in shaping our political landscape. While the piece focuses on my role in launching the initiative, this is truly a collective effort—our incredible co-chairs and co-founders stepped up immediately to lead the group, and we have nearly 900 signatories and 270 volunteers from across the U.S. and abroad, showcasing the national affiliation with our message.   As a woman in business, I’ve navigated different expectations and rules compared to my male counterparts throughout my career. We see this dynamic playing out in our presidential race to an extreme degree. As The Economist noted, "If Trump were to win election, Americans would be gambling with the economy, the rule of law, and international peace... Harris's shortcomings, by contrast, are ordinary. And none of them are disqualifying." This disparity highlights that they aren't undergoing the same interview process. Van Jones said it best: "He gets to be lawless; she has to be flawless."   Our voices as entrepreneurs are often stifled by fear—fear of being targeted, fear of losing revenue, and fear of jeopardizing our businesses. The stakes are incredibly high, particularly for the women, minority, and immigrant founders in our group, whose lives could be irrevocably altered depending on the election's outcome. Despite the challenges we face, including personal attacks and backlash against our businesses, our group has steadily grown, collaborating with more than 30 other coalitions for compounded impact. We have volunteered more than 7,000 hours and engaged in over 60 events and activations along with social campaigns, creating a robust platform for dialogue and action. Many of us met through this initiative, and our collective activism has turned strangers from all political ideologies into neighbors. Each day, we rise to advocate for Kamala Harris, knowing that our fundamental rights and our livelihoods hang in the balance.   As we approach the election, I urge everyone to make your voice heard—get out and vote! Your participation is vital for the future we want to create.   👉 Read the article here: https://lnkd.in/eSEDEhG4   #Vote #CivicEngagement #WomenInBusiness #Entrepreneurship #PutAWomanOnIt #SmallBusiness #Founders #GetOutTheVote #Democracy

    Champion of Inspiring Leaders

"To #business leaders...social capital is just as vital as financial capital. American companies and the U.S. economy are now the envy of the world, but that prosperity—unparalleled in world history—is dependent upon the societal trust, cohesion, and collegiality that have long enabled the American #economy. It is clear to us that Harris is the candidate who will best safeguard the continued prosperity, growth, and success of the American economy, companies, and workers." Tagging some of the former CEOs that signed this endorsement letter: Doug Parker Kenneth C. Frazier Reid Hoffman Kenneth I. Chenault Matt Levatich Kay Koplovitz Blake Irving Ellen Kullman Douglas Conant "🇺🇸 I'm with her as a fiscal conservative. According to the Committee for Responsible Federal Spending, her plan has been scored as having a deficit that halves the deficit of the other candidate. 🇺🇸 I'm with her as a capitalist who is conscious of what her ideas will do to our pocketbooks. As 23 Nobel Prize-winning economists have shared, she has a stronger economic plan than the other candidate. 🇺🇸 I'm with her because I'm pro-middle class. If Harris loses, I fear what would happen to everyday folks if faced with the inflationary crisis predicted by Bloomberg Economics plan models. 🇺🇸 I'm with her because I'm terrified for those who rely on Social Security, whose benefits would be slashed by 33% within 6 years with the other candidate's plan, according to the Committee for Responsible Federal Spending." Brian Page "When it comes to policy and personal integrity, the contrast could not be clearer....She is determined to lead our nation forward, and she understands that the only way to do that is by bringing people back together." Mike Bloomberg "She wants to help small-business start-ups by increasing tax deductions from $5,000 to $50,000. Her tax plan would lower taxes for 95% of Americans while those at the very top would pay more. Voters must decide what kind of country they want for themselves and future generations. Every vote matters!" The Philadelphia Inquirer She is the only candidate in #FounderMode" - Mark Cuban #entrepreneurship #innovation #investing #leadership #money #CultureOfMoney *Sources will be added to comment thread shortly.

With just five days until the election, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible community I’ve found with #WinWithBlackWomen and #FoundersForKamala. My friend and fellow Web3 entrepreneur, Marie Roker-Jones, has been a guiding light on this journey, introducing me to this movement and to powerhouse women like Allison Byers, Samantha Katz, Jennifer Iannolo, Lauren J. To all the tireless volunteers who’ve devoted their time, energy, and talents: you are the true fabric of this campaign, representing the beautiful diversity and shared democratic values of America.
