Running a booth at the Eastern Defense Summit was a wonderful experience. It was a pleasure connecting with many groups and individuals excelling in the defense space. A huge thank you to the Charleston Defense Contractors Association for having us and to everyone who showed support for Friends of Fisher House Charleston. I'd also like to thank our sponsors, Sentar Inc., ATI | Advanced Technology International, and DLH Corporation. We greatly appreciate your continued support!

Huge thank you to Kathryn (Kay) Cox, the Charleston Fisher House Volunteer of the Year!!! Kay was an integral part of making the Charleston Fisher House possible in 2018. Since its start, she has dedicated 6 1/2 years to volunteering and serves on the board of directors. Every week, Kay gives her time to the Fisher House, restocking supplies, tidying furniture, and caring for the house as if it were her own. More importantly, she treats each guest like family, offering nurturing support during difficult times and building lasting bonds. Reflecting on her experience, Kay shared, "Their courage, strength, and hopefulness carry me along with them… it is a privilege to serve.

A heartfelt thank you to Michele Stine and the Fordham University Alumni for bringing a little bit of Bronx flavor to Friends of Fisher House Charleston this Columbus Day weekend! In true Arthur Avenue style, they prepared an incredible Italian feast of ziti, meatballs and sausage, garlic bread, green beans, and salad. This delicious meal will feed the families staying with us at Fisher House, offering them comfort and nourishment while their loved ones receive care. We are so grateful for the support and love from our community—meals like these make all the difference.
