Meet Nalleli Valverde, founder of Proactive Safety, and graduate of gener8tor's gBETA Greeley pre-accelerator! Nalleli started Proactive Safety because, throughout her career as a safety administrator, she recognized the critical need for effective safety training for those in high-hazard jobs. "I witnessed safety trainings that were flat-out boring and disengaging, failing to capture the attention of those whose lives depended on it. I saw my dad and uncles, who worked hard under the sun and snow, risking their lives, reflected in the faces of all the workers. I knew that safety training needed to be impactful, memorable, and retainable for those men who looked like the dearest people in my life, ensuring they too could get home to the people they love." Nalleli knows that high-hazard workers' biggest barrier is language, so ProActive Safety offers bilingual safety training programs in English and Spanish, tailored to meet the needs of diverse workforces. During the gBETA Greeley Fall 2024 cohort, Nalleli took advantage of every opportunity offered by the City of Greeley, following up with mentors and investors, refining her product offering in her coaching sessions, and expanding her perspective to plan for the future of her company. With the graduation of our first cohort behind us, we are so proud to have supported ambitious, local founders making headway in a diverse range of industries, spanning Consumer Tech, Fintech, Edtech, Medtech, and more. From as early as just an idea, our founders went on to secure their first customers, build their MVPs, launch their demos, pitch to a crowd of 200+ people at Demo Day, present at Venture135, and engage with the broader startup community at Global Entrepreneurship Week. With each of these extraordinary milestones, they also had an incredible community of people behind them.
