The Africa CDC's National Public Health Institutes (NPHIs) Global Health Change Leadership Training concluded today with great success! The last day of the training focused on managing resistance to change, addressing common pitfalls in leading transitions, and strategies to reinforce and sustain change. These insights are crucial for the NPHI leaders in navigating smooth transitions from Ministries of Health to fully functioning NPHIs. Their ability to lead through transformation and change—not just managing the process but actively driving improvement—is essential to build resilient health systems and better health security. 💡 Recognising this need, Africa CDC has partnered with Robert Koch Institute and GIZ to launch a Change Management and Leadership Training Programme. Tailored for NPHI leaders across AU member states, this initiative equips them with the tools to navigate complex transitions, including integrating essential public health functions under newly established NPHIs. 🔉 Empowering journalists in Malawi to raise awareness about #AfCFTA! Building awareness of the #AfCFTA is essential to accelerating its implementation across Africa. This week, in collaboration with Malawi’s Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Association of Business Journalists, we launched the first of three workshops, engaging over 20 dedicated journalists. The workshop equips journalists with the knowledge to effectively highlight the opportunities and impacts of the #AfCFTA.
