On this year's #AfricaIndustrialisationDay, we celebrate Africa’s commitment to industrialisation, as seen in the Accelerated Industrial Development for Africa (#AIDA) and other key initiatives. Central to the vision of this commitment is the need for a skilled African workforce capable of driving industrial growth. Through the Skills Initiative for Africa (#SIFA), we support the work focused on vocational and technical skills that directly aligns with the needs of industries. By building a pool of skilled labour, SIFA aims to empower the workforce to meet the demands of Africa's industrial sectors. 🌍 Building Resilient Leadership for Stronger Public Health Systems in Africa! Africa’s National Public Health Institutes (#NPHIs) are on the frontlines of tackling public health challenges, but strong leadership at these institutes is crucial to their success. Their ability to lead through transformation and change—not just managing the process but actively driving improvement—is essential to build resilient health systems and better health security. 💡 Recognising this need, Africa CDC has partnered with Robert Koch Institute and GIZ to launch a Change Management and Leadership Training Programme. Tailored for NPHI leaders across AU member states, this initiative equips them with the tools to navigate complex transitions, including integrating essential public health functions under newly established NPHIs. By strengthening leadership at all levels, we can ensure that these transitions are smooth, sustainable and set the stage for long-term efficient functioning of NPHIs. #LeadershipDevelopment #ChangeManagement #NPHI #GlobalHealth #HealthLeadership #TransformationalChange #BuildingResilience #Health #PublicHealth #Africa
