🚶♂️✨ As Pedestrian Safety Month comes to a close, we're proud to recognize our Traffic Team's forward-thinking initiatives! Over a year ago, Team Goldwings took a proactive step by training Hawai`i’s transportation engineers statewide to prepare for new MUTCD guidelines focused on the safety of our most vulnerable pedestrians. Thanks to the leadership of our Director of Engineering, Keoni Wasano, and our partner Polara, Audible Pedestrian Safety (APS) and ADA-compliant push buttons are now being deployed statewide! 🌺🚦 Stay tuned for more advancements in roadside safety as we continue our work with the Department of Defense, University of Hawai`i, Hawai`i DOT, and county partners to meet the 2031 pedestrian safety mandate. At Goldwings, we believe true success is reflected in the well-being of our community. We’re committed to partnering with industry innovators who share this vision of a sustainable Hawai`i for all. We are all in this together.

Seabird Fallout season runs through mid-December. Last year, Goldwings supplied state-of-the-art SCL2 Series lighting to cover the 640-stall Mā‘alaea Triangle Parking Lot on Maui, shared by Maui Ocean Center and Mā‘alaea Harbor Shops. The durable lights can withstand hurricanes and floods and have a life expectancy of up to two decades. By reducing the height and orientation of the lights, as well as adding shields and blue light filters, wildlife such as seabirds and sea turtles are less likely to get disoriented and killed or injured.
