Insignia International has introduced a new line of corn and flour tortillas under its La Tortilla Factory brand. The five new types of Tradicíon tortillas include Fajita, Soft Yellow Corn, Soft White Corn, Burrito Flour, and Soft Taco. Tradicíon tortillas will soon be available in all Albertsons Companies across California, Seattle, Denver, and the Southwest.
Amy's Kitchen has named Mel Cash as chief growth officer and promoted Leanne Molter from chief transformation and strategy officer to chief financial officer. Cash joins the company from Nestlé, where she most recently was chief marketing and innovation officer. Previously, she was at Masco Corporation. and Kellogg Company.
Laoban Dumplings, an Asian frozen dumpling brand, is expanding its product line to include frozen bao buns. The bao buns are formulated with chicken, pork, beef, and shiitake mushrooms.
The Better Meat Co., an ingredients company providing mycoprotein formulations through its Rhiza product, announced it has dramatically reduced its cost of production. This will allow Rhiza to compete at a commodity price with beef, the company said.
