Technology in agriculture never ceases to amaze me. There are countless ways farmers can get injured on the job, but every day, new solutions are being developed to prevent these accidents. Since 2020, I’ve had the privilege of working with Grain Weevil a few times, and what they’re doing is truly remarkable. Their robots are designed with worker safety in mind, keeping individuals out of grain bins and out of harm’s way. When someone enters a bin, it only takes one misstep or a sudden shift in the grain’s flow to cause a serious accident. That’s why I’m so excited to see Grain Weevil’s robots now out in the field and in the hands of service providers, ensuring boots stay out of bins. Here’s to innovation that protects lives! We are pleased to welcome Aero Crop Solutions as the newest partner in our BinAssist Network! Based in northwest Iowa, Aero Crop is a commercial drone applicator specializing in custom spraying, cover crop seeding, and aerial imagery. They will now be expanding their service offerings by providing Grain Weevil robot-powered solutions to do the work that no human should.
