It was a pleasure for the PCA to help facilitate a tour of the Central Energy Plant at Tufts University by Somerville High School's Plumbing Shop Somerville Public Schools They explained to students how the facility uses cogeneration to create electricity and repurposes steam to provide heat for campus buildings. A huge thank you to Bryan and Ryan from the Plant staff for an insightful tour of the plant. Thanks as well to Greg Walters and Rocco DiRico for helping coordinate and making this visit possible. And shout out to the students for their awesome participation and attention throughout the visit. It's always inspiring to see the next generation of plumbers getting excited about the industry and the PCA is proud to help make that happen. #GBPCA #Local12

Well said Jim Bent!
Vocational education is said to be one of the best kept secrets in education today. It has certainly made all the difference for me, as an alumni of QVTS, I had an opportunity to be exposed to so many things in the plumbing industry long before many of my peers. See High-Profile's article on our recent visit from Quincy High School's plumbing department. We are committed to the future and are proud to collaborate with these programs that promote the trades. #plumbing #vocationaleducation https://lnkd.in/e64YVXZW

It was great to help celebrate the 10th Anniversary of National Apprenticeship Week at the Local 12 Training Center with a visit from the Governor's Apprenticeship Council. Secretary of The Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development (EOLWD) Lauren Jones joined to speak about the importance of apprenticeships and the continuation of this annual celebration. She and Undersecretary Josh Cutler also met with apprentices to hear their stories about joining Local 12 and the impact it has had on their lives. The PCA and Local 12 are proud to welcome the council into our joint Training Center to see first-hand how our facility prepares the next generation of plumbers. Thank you to everyone who could be involved! #GBPCA #Local12
