NOAA National Ocean Service and the NOAA Centers for Coastal Ocean Science, in partnership with the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Grid Deployment Office | U.S. Department of Energy and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, are working to build on existing marine spatial planning capacity in the United States #GulfofMexico region. They're now seeking public input to identify coastal and marine spatial data or other critical information that will be used to inform spatial analyses for transmission planning (with an emphasis on #offshorewind) in state and Federal waters offshore of #Texas, #Louisiana, #Mississippi and #Alabama.
