✨ Presenting our 2024 Graduating Class ✨ After an intense 2 days of board simulations where our delegates put their board knowledge to the test (and wow, was it a tough test!), we celebrated their achievements with a lovely graduation at Reid Hall! Our 2024 class was the biggest and most diverse cohort, not just in nationalities (5 in total!) but also in their backgrounds as we had leaders from HR, Business, Supply Chain, Technology, Banking and Medical. This year, we were honoured to also have our mentors Dr Wong Lai Yong and Fatimah Merican, alongside Anne Abraham and Catherine Musakali join us across the board simulations to provide feedback and advice especially when it is a tough board. To the team at Columbia Global Paris Center, Brune, Marie Volkea Doezema and James Allen, thank you for making our time here enjoyable as always and for spending the time to share with us the rich history of Reid Hall! At the end of our trip here, our delegates walk away with not only the confidence to be effective board members but friendships that goes beyond borders. Bonjour from Paris! 🥐 Our graduating class of 2024 spent their first of three days in the city of lights reflecting on their 6-months journey as well as how the Global Women On Boards team can further support their board journey. The energy was electrifying at Reid Hall (home to our hosts, Columbia Global Paris Center) as our delegates from Kenya, Malaysia, Singapore, India and Puerto Rico met for the first time! This was followed by a visit to the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) – France, where Delphine Perez walked us through the governance structure of the regulator. It was interesting to learn how regulators are keeping up with new financial products like digital assets and green/sustainable financing. Our first day ended with a lovely welcome dinner that was much needed after much walking around Champs-Elysees! Stay tuned to hear about our next two days...

🟣𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐳𝐨 𝐁𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐢 in Milan 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐧 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐒𝐮𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 PWN Milan Attendees of the Summit shared the opportunity to join engaging and thought-provoking panel discussions on some key topics such as 𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘋𝘦𝘦𝘱 𝘛𝘦𝘤𝘩, 𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘈𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘢, 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, and to listen to testimonials shared from different countries: Malaysia, Kenya, Central Europe and Italy. It was a true privilege to engage with powerfully inspirational Women of the Fintech world: Elena Lavezzi, Roberta Profeta, Fiammetta Mataloni, Antonella Pagani, Giulia Rossi Part of my speech on new technologies and their role in gender equality:” The role of technology is twofold: on the one hand, it can improve access to financial services through innovative tools like digital #microfinance platforms and mobile payments; on the other, it can enhance transparency and security in financial processes. For example, #blockchain-based solutions can ensure transaction traceability, increasing trust in financial services among traditionally excluded communities. To bridge the #gendergap, it is essential that these technologies are accompanied by digital literacy programs specifically designed for women, helping them use these tools wisely and strategically. The key is to integrate technological innovations with targeted inclusion policies and public-private partnerships so they can indeed act as levers of economic and social empowerment. When implemented correctly, these technologies can break down historic barriers and promote equal participation, driving economic growth and collective well-being.” Thank you so much to PWN Milan, PWN Global, LeadWomen The Women on Boards Network Kenya, W Executive AIDAF - Italian Family Business - Associazione Italiana delle Aziende Familiari, Ottavio Maria Campigli, Valentina Fermanelli, Vanina Stagno Piantanida, Marina Vestita and all of the fantastic people sharing their energy.

We Did It! The PWN Milan 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 has come to life, and what a fantastic event it was! Set in the beautiful 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘇𝘇𝗼 𝗕𝗼𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗶, the Summit brought together 𝟳𝟬 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀, including PWN Milan, PWN Romania and PWN Global members, distinguished Speakers, and our Strategic Partners: LeadWomen, The Women on Boards Network Kenya, W Executive, and AIDAF - Italian Family Business. The day featured engaging panel discussions on critical topics like 𝘞𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯 𝘰𝘯 𝘉𝘰𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘴: 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘍𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 & 𝘓𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘥, 𝘍𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘩 & 𝘐𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘓𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 & 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺. Later, the focus shifted to 𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗠 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀, exploring how Science and Innovation can improve living conditions and create a more equitable future. Our talented Moderators Chiara Pietrarota, EMBA, CIIA, Ottavio Maria Campigli, Valentina Fermanelli and Vanina Stagno Piantanida expertly guided the discussions and ensured a dynamic, enriching experience. Our Delegates' diverse perspectives enriched the conversation. Together, they sparked a meaningful dialogue on key issues shaping the Women on Boards landscape. Our outstanding Speakers Alessia Mosca, Gini Dupasquier, Violeta Ciurel, Ph.D, Veronica Buzzi, Anne Abraham, Catherine Musakali, Elena Lavezzi, Roberta Profeta, ✨Claudia Segre, Fiammetta Mataloni, Antonella Pagano, Oscar Di Montigny, Maria Antonietta Perino, Elena Lanati and Giulia Rossi—sparked lively debates and fresh insights that attendees will carry forward in their work and lives. Oscar Di Montigny made a significant contribution to the Summit by sharing his transformative concept of Humanovability. In his talk, he explored the idea that true leadership in today’s world requires more than just technical expertise; it demands the ability to adapt, empathize, and connect with others on a deeper level. The day culminated in an inspiring speech by Giulia Rossi, whose words captured the essence of the Summit, reflecting on progress made while urging continued action for the future. We’d also like to extend our deepest gratitude to W Executive, whose invaluable support was key in making this event a milestone in our shared mission to increase Women’s representation in the Boardroom. As we celebrate the success of this Summit, we're already looking ahead to the 2025 PWN Milan IWOB Programme. The lessons from today will help shape IWOB's future, and we are excited to continue this important work. #GlobalWomenonBoardNetworkSummit A full day of learning and networking in a beautiful venue, hosted by W Executive and organised by PWN Milan. Our own Catherine Musakali and Anne Abraham also spoke on the panel to share their own board journey and how Kenya, Malaysia has approached the wider #womenonboard agenda. There were discussions as well on the latest leadership capabilities with regards to resilience and innovation, especially learning about sustainability and how it should cut across every aspect of our social and business world. We also learned about space exploration - possibilities of living on Mars and the Moon. A takeaway message from keynote speaker, Oscar Di Montigny: “We must live in a #DEIB world” especially in this fast-paced, uncertain world. We hope to continue this cross-border, global learning experience through our new partnerships and networks!
