The 2024 Atlantic hurricane season officially ended on November 30 after a record-breaking year of above-normal activity. According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), of the 18 named storms this season, 11 intensified into hurricanes, and five became major hurricanes.
