Every day there are thousands of families with children having to navigate the challenges and complexities of cancer. Here to Serve is built to remove these burdens and arm these families with the in-home care they need to focus on what matters most - caring for their loved ones. 🫶 🎗️ This year, we’ve had the privilege of supporting Amaya and her family while Amaya battles ALL. She’s had a tough time with treatment, so her mom, Tricia, had to stop working to help care for her, while Amaya’s sister lives for weeks at their grandparents’ house and doesn’t get to see her immediate family. Amaya is strong and resilient, as are her family members, and we’re proud to be able to lend a hand where they need it most. At just 8 years old, Jordan’s family is also navigating the grief of losing his father to Covid. His mother, Alexis, is doing everything in her power to support him, including driving from Ventura to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles for his treatments. With the financial strain of medical expenses, Alexis is struggling to keep up, while still working to care for both of her children. Here to Serve stepped in to help secure financial support for the Garcias, along with food, holiday gifts for the family, and community support.
