🕯️ Honoring National Homeless Persons' Memorial Day 🕯️ On the winter solstice, the longest and darkest night of the year, we reflect on the struggles of our unseen neighbors experiencing homelessness. Today, we pause to remember those we lost in 2024 while they were still searching for safety, stability, and dignity. According to the latest HUD Point-in-Time (PIT) Count data released in 2023, over 650,000 individuals were experiencing homelessness on a single night in January, marking a 12% increase compared to the previous year; this rise in homelessness is attributed to factors like the winding down of pandemic housing protections and increasing rental costs, continuing a trend observed before the pandemic. Every life matters. Let this day serve as a solemn reminder of the challenges faced by individuals and families experiencing homelessness and the critical need to continue our work toward a future where no life is lost to homelessness. Join us in honoring their memory and recommitting ourselves to building hope, housing, and opportunity for all. 🏡💚 #HomelessPersonsMemorialDay #EndHomelessness #HomelessnessAwareness #HomeAid

Thank you, Builder and Developer Magazine for featuring HomeAid Inland Empire in the December edition. The article highlights a meaningful restoration project completed at Operation SafeHouse's Main Street Transitional Living Program. This critical renovation, led by Builder Captain Samuel Vazquez of Tilden-Coil Constructors and supported by generous trade partners, ensured the safety and accessibility of the facility by replacing exterior stairs and decking that had deteriorated over time. As HomeAid Inland Empire Board President Brian King shared: "It’s always inspiring to see how our efforts can make a tangible difference in people’s lives. Renovating these spaces is about more than just improving physical structures—it’s about creating an environment where residents can feel supported and empowered." We are grateful to our partners, supporters, and Builder & Developer Magazine for shining a light on this impactful project. Together, we are building hope and creating safer, more stable living environments for those who need it most. 🏡💚 🔗 Read the full article here (Pg. 48): https://bit.ly/3Vsx4Dp #ThankYou #BuilderAndDeveloper #HomeAidInlandEmpire #BuildingHope #EndHomelessness
