📬 The Power of Print in a Digital World: Direct mail drives customer engagement and amplifies brand storytelling. More brands are embracing direct mail catalogs this holiday season, as highlighted in the article below. "...the resurgence of the print catalog is due to the fact that more e-commerce brands are looking to leverage offline channels to increase touch points with potential new customers. A catalog costs about $0.75 on average to produce and mail. 'That’s much cheaper than most digital ads these days,' Wong said [of marketing firm Belardi Wong]. "Increasingly, brands are leaning into more lifestyle and location-based photography as opposed to product shots associated with mail catalogs. 'There is an element of aspiration and inspiration in a catalog that you don’t get in a Google search or small digital photo,' Wong said. “There is less item density and copy and more white space for storytelling.” HomePros delivers this impact for home improvement and lifestyle brands, connecting with readers in their homes through our beautifully designed direct mail magazines that attract the eyes of our hand-picked, income-select audience. While we embrace digital marketing's reach, we also stress the unique touch of print for building deeper, lasting connections. https://lnkd.in/gx2T-_9R Ready to elevate your strategy? Let's talk! 🚀

Don’t solicit fake reviews from your friends, family, or employees! The FTC’s new rule on endorsements and testimonials—effective October 21, 2024 (TODAY)—brings stricter guidelines for online reviews. It prohibits fake reviews, undisclosed employee testimonials, and suppressing negative feedback without valid reasons. Transparency is essential for maintaining consumer trust and integrity, especially in the home improvement space. At HomePros, we’re committed to keeping businesses informed on important updates. While it may be tempting for new businesses to get those early reviews from friends or family, it’s unethical—and could backfire. Stay authentic! Read more at the linked article.

It's not often that we think about the GLOBAL home improvement industry, but the trends seem on par with the united states. The global home improvement market shrank by 3.9% in 2023, reaching €667 billion, following a period of significant growth between 2019 and 2022. Most regions, including North America and Europe, experienced declines, with Asia-Pacific, especially China, as the only major region showing growth (+9.1%). The downturn was attributed to multiple global crises affecting the industry, particularly after the pandemic-driven boom. The data comes from the Home Improvement Report Retail Worldwide, which covers trends across 72 countries. Source: https://lnkd.in/gbKkMuHQ In 2022, the U.S. home improvement market experienced growth, largely due to people investing in home renovations through the pandemic. However, in 2023, the market began to shrink, primarily due to inflation, rising interest rates, and economic uncertainty, which limited discretionary spending. Growth slowed, and some sectors within the industry saw declines. For 2024, forecasts remain mixed, with potential recovery depending on the broader economic landscape and consumer confidence stabilizing. How are you adapting your business strategies to navigate rising costs and economic uncertainty? Are you focusing on consistent marketing, customer retention, new services, or something else?
