Across the nation the Lease to Locals program has housed thousands of employees in tourist towns, and here is one really great story about a teacher and hospital worker that can stay local because of the program. Exciting update at 66 Pochick! We’re thrilled to share the incredible progress on our latest rental project. This recycled dwelling was moved to its permanent foundation, and will soon provide a safe place to live for a local family. By placing the home on a full basement, we’ve successfully doubled the housing capacity of the dwelling. Large windows and a walk-out patio transform this one-bedroom cottage into a spacious two-bedroom home. This approach not only maximizes space but also enhances the living experience for the local family who will soon live here. Many thanks to the Town of Nantucket Affordable Housing Trust for their generous support of this initiative.
