Incandescent is discovering how to create, build, and run enterprises to do the world's most important work.

About us

Incandescent is discovering better ways to create, build and run organizations. We conduct research, advise leaders and develop our own ventures. As advisors, we serve as thought partners to CEOs of large institutions, founders of early- and growth-stage ventures, and a handful of visionary leaders in the middle of important companies. We look forward to a dialogue about the questions we’re most passionate about. In the higher levels of the game of work, we are presented with a question: How can we grow into powers we don’t yet have... … so that we can accomplish goals currently far beyond our reach… … and experience, in the course of this reaching and becoming, joy in our unfolding days and a sense of wholeness in our accumulating years? At Incandescent we’ve been asking this question and thinking about how we give the year a shape, creating rhythms and rituals that bring our attention to what matters, each important thing held in its container of time. “The Shape of a Year” in a reflection on what we learned in the first year of this experiment. #culture #leadership #ritual

  • A company's culture is the product of their activities. If we allow ourselves to be pulled away by the restless current of the email notifications, a next deliverable, yet another meeting, our culture becomes numbing and deadening, a mechanical belt from which we can never get off. But what if we bring, to our work, the same careful joy that we bring to rituals in other parts of our lives? What if we allow our days to be structured by observances and rhythms, rituals and celebrations that shape each season, and therefore each month and each week? Suddenly the belt becomes a stream, and the intentionality we bring to the whole filters into the day. https://lnkd.in/eFEsu478
