We have attended the 8th edition of Türkiye Geothermal Congress, GT 2025 in Grand Ankara Hotel & Congress Center organized by JESDER |Geothermal Power Plant Investors Association. Industeel provides stainless steel for geothermal plant transport piping. Our company has expertise on corrosion mechanisms and can advise on material selection. Industeel is producing quarto plates in our three mills in Belgium and France and our dimensional program is the largest in the world. Iconic steel structures! You probably didn’t know, but Industeel participated in the iconic Grande Arche panoramic lifts project at La Défense in Paris 20 years ago. Our company has proudly produced the high-quality UNS S31803 duplex steel that was used to construct the panoramic elevators, providing visitors with breathtaking views of the city. The construction of the Grande Arche panoramic lifts required highly detailed technical studies to respect the initial project designed by Spreckelsen. The project made use of a new austeno-ferritic grade, our UNS S31803 developed for the project. This steel provides essential characteristics such as a high elasticity limit (around 500 N/mm²) and a relatively low thermal expansion coefficient, meeting fire resistance requirements. The minimalist web-like metal lift cage structure ensures a panoramic view from the cars, and the design of this particularly lightweight and transparent lift bank was based on the high performance provided by stainless steel. We are honored to have contributed to this architectural marvel and showcase our commitment to excellence in steel manufacturing. Aiming for the stars! We are excited to share that on November 21st, 2024, an Official Ceremony was held at the headquarters of ITER Organization where our esteemed partner invited their key suppliers. Our colleagues, Nathalie PAUZE and Alberto Bandrés Secades, had the honor of participating in the visit to the facilities, specifically the Korean and European sectors of the Tokamak vacuum chamber. They found the visit incredibly interesting and fascinating. During the ceremony, ITER presented our colleagues with a certificate of appreciation for our joint collaboration. Industeel greatly values working with ITER and is delighted to have received this certificate.
