Ìpàdé (ee-pah-day, “meeting” in Yoruba) is DC’s haven for Black women, femmes, and gender-expansive people of color to connect, collaborate, and build community. We are a Black woman-owned event, meeting, and content creation space open to all for venue rentals.

In 2023, we proudly raised and awarded $5,000 to 8 innovative businesses in the Washington, DC region. This year, we’re aiming to double our impact, and we need your help to achieve this goal. Are you located in the DMV and… 🔻A nonprofit professional eager to develop your skills in grantmaking? 🔻A seasoned entrepreneur committed to fostering the success of small, emerging businesses? 🔻A community member enthusiastic about giving back and sharing your time? Join the 2024 Grants Committee! As a volunteer on our grants committee, you will be vital to the success of our 2024 grants cycle. Volunteers can expect to dedicate approximately 8 hours between September 2 and October 7 to screening, reviewing, and scoring applications.
