What do you consider when choosing a career? Wage, benefits, skills, opportunity for growth, and…culture are all parts of choosing a job. Part of JA’s work is ensuring students are prepared to meet opportunities that await them after graduation, which includes determining what’s important to them in a work environment. Partners like Unum, who host students for job shadows and let them partake in team building activities plants the seed to consider aspects of career choice they may not have considered. (Also - when you’re at Unum, try and find the ducks! 🦆)

Do you remember receiving your diploma? What did it represent for you? . Handing out diplomas to your JA students at the end of every learning experience and seeing the impact you've made on students is so gratifying! .
