The Future Takes Shape
About us
JetZero is developing an ultra-efficient Blended Wing Body jet with unprecedented performance. Working with the US Air Force, NASA and the FAA for entry-into-service by 2030. The JetZero Blended Wing is the biggest leap in commercial aircraft architecture since the dawn of the jet age and the best first step toward the ultimate goal of zero-carbon emissions aviation. The aircraft will launch in 2030 with 100% SAF compatibility, and the internal volume to accommodate zero-carbon emissions hydrogen.

Investment drives innovation. JetZero is honored to have been selected by NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration for the organization’s Advanced Aircraft Concepts for Environmental Sustainability (AACES) grant. Together with our partners ZeroAvia and the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, we will study concepts for liquid hydrogen powered propulsion on long-range blended wing body airplanes. “NASA’s continued investment in new technologies is a mainstay of its innovation philosophy and we are energized by the opportunity to work on concepts that significantly reduce emissions and will serve the flying public in the years to come.” -Romar Frazier, Head of Propulsion, JetZero

Real progress on a real plane with real parts. We have finalized partnership agreements with Tier One suppliers for all the key components of the Flight Control System on our BWB demonstrator. This marks a significant milestone in our journey from design, to test, to demonstration. All hardware being integrated onto the airplane already flies on Part 25 commercial air transport airplanes, lowering risk and eliminating barriers to eventual certification. We have intentionally selected partners and components with high technology and integration readiness levels. Thanks to these industry best suppliers for believing in this program that will redefine aviation with 50% fewer emissions and 50% less fuel burn. BAE Systems Moog Inc. Safran Thales Woodward, Inc.

JetZero has welcomed Administrator Steve Dickson to its Board of Advisors. Dickson is an operational and safety expert who served as the 18th administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration. He will bring decades of experience in safety, training, and regulatory knowledge to the board as we work toward demonstration and certification. Welcome Steve!

Thanks to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for putting together another educational agenda at this year's Global Aerospace Summit. We enjoyed getting to speak to industry colleagues about JetZero and how its innovative airplane shape will result in a massive reduction in fuel burn and emissions, which means significant cost savings for airline customers. At JetZero we have a unique opportunity to challenge old thinking, improve on all operational aspects of flight and reimagine the customer experience.

Pardon us while we roll out the red carpet. Industry veteran and aerospace innovator Rob Dewar has joined the JetZero Board of Directors. Rob comes to the company after a 38-year career in the aerospace industry, most recently as senior vice president and general manager of the Airbus A220 aircraft program. Initially known as the CSeries for Bombardier, Dewar led the team responsible for fully defining, developing, certifying and delivering the airplane to market. It's a perfect match for this industry icon to join the JetZero team, as we design and build the iconic blended wing body airplane. Welcome, Rob!

The innovation train keeps rolling! Honored to have received a grant from the Federal Aviation Administration and their Fueling Aviation's Sustainable Transition (FAST) program which supports research of low emission aviation technologies. JetZero was awarded $8 million to develop lightweight composite structures for use on the non-cylindrical pressure vessel of our blended wing body aircraft. On this effort, we’ll further develop and mature the composite technology that will inform our Z4 aircraft structure. It's a great opportunity to perform this valuable work in partnership with the FAA team as we collaborate and learn together.

We are thrilled to share that JetZero has formed a new partnership with European carrier easyJet. In addition to joining JetZero's newly established Airline Working Group, easyJet will share its knowledge of hydrogen propulsion systems following the years of work it has done to develop the technology with other industry partners, and explore the opportunity to use the blended-wing body as a platform for hydrogen-powered engine technology. As David Morgan, chief operating officer of easyJet said, "The blended-wing aircraft design offers the potential to maximize efficiencies and significantly reduce fuel burn and emissions in the process. Its potential to be powered by SAF or hydrogen in the future is also incredibly exciting.” The potential for our BWB aircraft to serve as a platform for zero emissions hydrogen propulsion offers some of the most promising advances in the industry today. We're looking forward to working with our new partners at easyJet on this technology.

Thanks, Fast Company for your story about our new partnership with Alaska Airlines and for noting, "a BWB jet can carry hundreds of passengers with half the fuel, a huge cost savings and environmental benefit." We can't wait to bring this airplane to market and support the industry's net zero carbon emissions goals. #sustainability #netzero #blendedwingbody #bwb https://lnkd.in/enMgG3EY
