Last week our JFK Millennium Partners team invited nearly 30 local vendors to participate in our second-annual "Taste of Africa" Black History Month pop-up celebration at T7 -- hosting free food and beverage tastings for T7 staff from local favorites like Brooklyn Suya, Ev McLilley Teas &, Daily Dose Juice Bar, Queen of Sheba Ethiopian Restaurant, Amarachi Catering, Delicious African Orchards, Cherie Conliffe Vitality, and others. JFK T7 passengers and staff were treated to a live DJ, marketplace shopping with hand-crafted gifts, and an unforgettable dance performance by Afro'Dance New York. 🌍 JMP COO Karen Ali thanked our event partners, The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey, Ethiopian Airlines and African Restaurant Week for co-hosting the day's celebrations. “At JMP, we are driven by the belief that community is at the heart of everything we do, and that celebrating the diversity that makes New York City and our surrounding Queens community so special is essential. NEWS 🔊 We are excited to announce that Kuwait Airways has selected the new JFK Terminal 6 for its operations beginning in 2026, joining a growing list of award-winning, international carriers who will make T6 their future home at JFK, including: Air Canada, Aer Lingus, ANA, Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Condor, JetBlue, Lufthansa, Norse Atlantic Airways and SWISS. Kuwait has served the New York market – its primary gateway in North America – for more than 40 years. It currently operates regular service from JFK Terminal 7 to Kuwait using its state-of-the-art, Boeing 777-300 and Airbus A330-800 widebody aircraft. “We are thrilled that Kuwait Airways has selected T6 for its future New York operations. NEWS 🔊 Our JFK Millennium Partners team is excited to launch the operations phase of our JFK T6 procurement with the release of multiple requests for proposals (RFPs) for Guest Services, Security, and Maintenance/Janitorial services. "As we approach the highly anticipated on-time opening of phase one in 2026, we're thrilled to begin this important next step in our journey. We're excited to partner with firms that share our vision and can help us create an exceptional travel experience for T6 guests, every day," said Karen Ali, Chief Operating Officer, JFK Millennium Partners. Over 100 participants attended JMP's recent RFP outreach event at Queens Borough Hall on January 13, with a second virtual event taking place on February 19 to connect prime bidders with smaller sub-contractors. JMP expects to select its first set of operational partners no later than April 2025.
