LinkedIn Strategist & Coach | I help female coaches, consultants & fractional professionals feel confident showing up on LinkedIn to get discovered by ideal clients + strategic partners | Generated $500k for clients

This LinkedIn mistake might be costing you a lot of $$$ and new business ⬇ As you might imagine I look at TONS of LinkedIn profiles every week, every day. Analyzing each section to make sure my clients are converting as much traffic as possible into closed business. What surprises me the most? Even the most skilled professionals unintentionally make it hard for prospects to take that first step towards working with them. Here’s what I often see: - Complicated messaging in key sections that confuses instead of converts - Missing calls to action or links in the right places - Wasted opportunities to use profile space for authority-building copy (And honestly, unless you’re a LinkedIn nerd like me, you wouldn’t know this—so don’t be too hard on yourself) But if you are reading this, take a moment to audit your LinkedIn profile. Ask yourself: Am I creating unnecessary friction within my profile that’s keeping prospects from reaching out? That friction could be the difference between a missed opportunity and a new client. — Huge thank you to Eilish Wertheimer of the The Slingshot Guys for capturing & editing this video at last week's The Growth Tribe event 👏

A tip for my female job hunters out there... I recently had a meeting with the lovely Meghan Hardy via The Growth Tribe who advised me to replace "we" with "I" in interviews. The following week I had an interview and I talked about an email marketing campaign I launched for a client but instead of saying "I", I fell back on "we". The interviewer followed up by asking how I was involved with the project. Wow. This is something I need to work on. Because I'm a team player, I often like to refer to projects from a "we" standpoint. But ladies (and gents) this can certainly be misleading-- especially when you are talking about a project that you led! The tip (that I didn't implement quickly enough) came into play in such a real way in my life. I didn't even notice I was doing it. SO the lesson is let's not sell ourselves short- especially in interviews! #ladiesintech #tech #jobsearch

Okay, wow. I didn’t expect Tuesday’s event to turn out as it did. Nearly 40 of us solopreneurs gathered to: ∙Openly share our struggles and goals ∙Learn strategies for growing our businesses on LinkedIn Here are the top 3 takeaways from The Growth Tribe event: 𝟭. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 We introduce ourselves all the time — but are they making the impact we want? The key takeaway from Grace McCarrick's intros workshop was:  Be concise. No one wants a long sales pitch or your life story — Instead: ∙Be clear about who you help ∙Be concise about what you do ∙Be explicit about who you want to connect with 𝟮. 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱𝗜𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 Molly, Grace, and Eilish Too many to share, but here are a few highlights: ∙Posting 3x/week brings as many leads as 5x/week (and more impressions) ∙Write about work stories, hot takes, and case studies ∙If a post flops, change the hook and re-share it later ∙Don’t use automation tools or edit after posting (Btw, if you want more tips like this, I recommend following Molly Godfrey's LinkedIn) 𝟯. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 All of us openly shared our intentions: ∙ We want to find others to work with ∙ We want to meet others in the same boat as us ∙ We want to connect with people in real life, beyond our screens ∙ We want to feel a sense of community after working alone all day (Special shoutout to The Growth Tribe members: Amela Subašić, Gabe Plesent, Meghan Hardy, Ronak Patel, Rose Choi Marques, Sarah Dunn, Sydney Borlabi ✨) I’m feeling incredibly grateful to the superstars who helped me bring this event to life — Molly, Grace, Eilish, Fabrik, and Jamie. In the true spirit of The Growth Tribe, we came together to support each other, no strings attached. These moments remind me of why I started our community: Because nothing beats building relationships, sharing wisdom, and helping others grow 💛

Entrepreneurship can be tough. And lonely. And just when you think you’ve got it all figured out... another plot twist comes along 😜 I believe being a founder is a calling —a hard one. One that I wouldn’t trade though because it means that when you have those bright, meaningful moments, you savor them even more. Tuesday was one of those moments. Silvi Specter brought us together for a Q4 The Growth Tribe meetup. 35 of us from our Slack community gathered in person, and the energy was such a vibe. A huge thank you to Fabrik for hosting us in their beautiful third space (especially to the amazing Lea Palmieri). Silvi, Grace, Eilish and I led a lively panel on LinkedIn growth (dream topic! 💕 ). We had honest thoughts, shared real insights, and even some fun debates—like Grace and Eilish's different takes on replying to all the comments 👀 But what really stood out were our open conversations about the real founder journey—the highs and lows, the impact on mental health, the importance of community, and the courage it takes to ask for help. 3 days later writing this recap I’m still feeling uplifted and grateful for such a wonderful night and inspired by all the conversations I got to have. So as the Q4 whirlwind continues for us business owners…remember to find those bright spots and supportive spaces you can plug into - for me it’s definitely The Growth Tribe and my very cool founder friends 😉 📸 What about you, how do you manage the ups & downs of running a business?

It was really inspiring and uplifting to hear from members of The Growth Tribe last night -- Molly Godfrey, Silvi Specter, Eilish Wertheimer and Grace McCarrick. I've been working by myself for the last year or so and it can get lonely and frustrating from time to time. The Growth Tribe has really been such a great resource-- I've asked all my marketing questions from - What b2b brands to look towards? for inspiration to what implications does my client's domain change ACTUALLY have on her SEO? The group also allows me to freely vent about work frustrations and has helped me price myself fairly and even to find people to work with on certain projects. As I've straddled the freelance/consultant world and built my personal brand for the last year, The Growth Tribe has truly been the greatest research. Hearing from people who have excelled across social channels and in their own businesses gave me some much needed company, hope and overall advice. Check out: Silvi Specter: Marketing Consultant for B2B founders Molly Godfrey: LinkedIn Strategist & Coach Grace McCarrick: Work skills consultant, speaker and content creator Eilish Wertheimer: Video production #networking #marketing #personalgrowth #jobsearch #consulting

So many marketing consultants (myself included!) struggle with the same things: → Feeling lonely → Finding a niche → Setting boundaries → Getting more clients → Improving efficiency And the list goes on… When I started consulting, I struggled with all of these — and felt alone in these struggles. But I quickly realized that we don't have to do it by ourselves. Imagine if we could share our: → Learnings → Templates → Tech stack → Warm intros → Expertise → Connections → Lessons learned By simply coming together, we could help each other tackle these challenges and grow — not just as marketers and consultants, but also as humans. That's why I created The Growth Tribe: I needed a space like this, and I knew others did, too. Now, I'm endlessly grateful for our tight-knit community of likeminded marketers who: → Ask for help → Give advice → Share opportunities → Cheer each other on → Face similar challenges If you’ve ever felt stuck or lonely, just know that you’re not alone. And more importantly, there are people here to support you. 💛

Work Skills Consultant, Creator & Speaker | I teach soft skills for corporate to millions of people on the Internet, and your team, if you dare...

Day in the Life: don't you wonder what all these people who post a lot about their businesses do all day? I'm one of them and I still do! Let's go: 9am: cold train platform/hot coffee/ train from 'burbs into Manhattan. I'm building a couple of workshops for clients and potentials, so I sketch those out and listen to music. 10:45am: touch up my makeup and hair in the Sephora by the train station (if you know, you know) 11am: meeting with a good friend and their CEO (insurance industry) to discuss building a soft skills/behavioral onboarding for incoming Gen Z team members 1pm: Coffee meet and greet at the Nordstrom cafe with Justin Schuman to hear about how he teaches functional soft skills, using his Broadway theater background. (TY Zoya Lehrer for the eagle-eyed LinkedIn connect!) 3:30pm: Head all the way downtown to a friend's coworking space, where I answer emails, write my newsletter and continue sketching out the programs. 5pm: Speak to a group of grad students in a Healthcare Leadership course about the decline of intuitive soft skills in our youngest generation and how to combat it in a chaotic, resource strapped environment like a hospital. 7pm: Get a headshot done by a VERY cool photographer who just did headshots of Alix Earle (again, if you know, you know) 7:30: lead a group of 35 freelancers/consultants and fractional executives in my favorite workshop, How to be the person everyone wants to work with (networking edition.) People don't do any favors introducing themselves at industry events and this quick framework is 10/10 for conciseness and value. 8pm: Sit on a panel with The Growth Tribe founder Silvi Specter, Molly Godfrey and Eilish Wertheimer, talking about how to get business from LinkedIn. We go super unfiltered, share the stuff we don't share online and get into a little disagreement about whether to answer all your comments. It was soo fun and Silvi, Molly and Eilish get significant business from LinkedIn so I loved learning from them. 10pm: Scavenge whatever food is left in the GCT food hall and head home. (Courtney Hirsch I have no idea how you film all day for a DITL; that was my intention but I didn't have the mental bandwidth and now I'm 50x more impressed)
