This investment marks the first deal co-led by the Joyful team, as well as Joyful's first board position in the portfolio. We were joined by co-lead, The PIC Investment Group, in Saskatchewan, Canada, in the $2.3M CAD round. With 66% protein content, Maia Farms mycelium protein offers a remarkable nutritional profile, containing 2.7 times more potassium than bananas, four times the calcium of whole milk, and 5.5 times more iron than beef, making it a powerhouse of essential nutrients. Boasting a 99.6% digestibility rating, the product is more digestible than traditional plant proteins, ensuring that nutrients are more readily absorbed by the body.
