💧 Did you know that industrial water usage accounts for about 22% of global water consumption? From manufacturing to cooling and waste disposal, industries rely heavily on water, but what happens after it’s used? 🤔 - Manufacturing – Industries like paper, textiles, and metal processing depend on water. - Cooling & heating – Power and data plants and factories use massive amounts for cooling machinery. - Cleaning & sanitation – Water is needed to wash equipment, products, and workspaces. - Waste disposal – Many industries use water to transport waste, which often contains pollutants. 🌍 Water withdrawals vary greatly by region, with some countries using over 1,000 m³ per person annually. 🚨 The real challenge? A lot of this water isn’t treated properly, leading to pollution in open waterways, aquifers, and groundwater. At Kando, we collaborate with utilities to empower their team to monitor wastewater in real-time, preventing pollution and optimizing #WaterReuse strategies. Check out the water withdrawals map below! How does your region compare? Drop a comment below! 🔗 https://lnkd.in/d3CqS9HP #Wastewater #SmartCities #Sustainability #STREAMi #DaaS #WaterTech

  • In Palermo, Italy, together with B.M. Tecnologie Industriali s.r.l., we recently deployed Kando’s wastewater intelligence solution in an industrial area to protect WWTP operations from unforeseen pollution events that could slow or even damage operations. Kando’s solution empowers utility teams by providing: • Prompt detection of heavy metals and other pollutants • Protection of purifiers through reduced operational risks and lower sludge disposal costs • Enhanced control over industrial discharges to safeguard the ecosystem With Fabio Corazza

#Watercare #retefognaria #Kando

Reminiscing on #UMC25’s energy building impact, especially the insightful #DaaS workshop at SWAN - The Smart Water Networks Forum, where we tackled the balancing act of project costs and budgets, which can sometimes feel like a game of Tetris. 'Drop a high capital cost now or stack rising operational costs later. Either way, something’s piling up (literally! 🤣)' Jokes aside, the SWAN workshop underscored a crucial takeaway: it’s time to team up! Whether through cooperative purchasing, utility partnerships, or strategic delays, collaboration might just be the key to solving our wastewater riddle. #Wastewater #SWANForum #Collaboration #SmartWater #UtilityPartnerships #UMC25 #WEF #AWWA With Ori Reshef

Italy’s Wastewater: Navigating Compliance Like a Pro! Italy; famous for its pasta, breathtaking coastlines, and… wastewater compliance regulations? Yes, you read that right! With over 1,000 wastewater treatment plants across the country and ongoing challenges in meeting EU Urban Wastewater Treatment Directive standards, Italy’s utilities are collaborating with Kando to improve monitoring, reduce pollution, and enhance operational efficiency. The Compliance Conundrum: - Many municipalities still struggle with outdated infrastructure and insufficient #data. - #Compliance violations can result in hefty fines from the EU. - Climate change is making wastewater management even more unpredictable. That’s where Kando steps in! With our wastewater intelligence platform, utilities can: - Gain real-time insights into pollution sources before they reach treatment plants. - Ensure regulatory compliance by improving monitoring and reporting. - Optimize network performance and prevent costly inefficiencies. Turn #wastewater data into actionable #intelligence, because compliance shouldn’t feel like a guessing game! source: https://lnkd.in/gnVCqemE

Proactive water quality monitoring is key to protecting our environment. With real-time insights from Kando’s DaaS and #GenAI platform, non-compliant discharges can be identified and sampled in time to safeguard treatment plants and ensure regulatory compliance. By collaborating with utilities we empower them and their teams to protect downstream infrastructure, enhance wastewater quality for #WaterReuse, and improve overall network efficiency . Proud to be able to collaborate with one of our Italian partners #Almaviva in bringing #DaaS solutions to the forefront of #SmartCities and wastewater management. with B.M.
