What happens when 87 small business-focused organizations — including 69 Kansas-based entities representing all 105 counties— come together to build connections and strengthen Kansas' small business ecosystem? At the Mastercard Strive USA Summit in Lawrence, Kansas, we witnessed the transformative power of this type of collaboration firsthand. Leaders from across the state tackled two big questions: 1️⃣ How can Kansas’ small business stakeholders build a more connected, cohesive ecosystem? 2️⃣ What best practices from other regions can be applied in Kansas? From showcasing innovative tools to fostering unexpected partnerships, the energy was stirring. Amber Sellers, MPA, a Lawrence City Commissioner, said it best: “Small businesses are the heart of every community — and we need to do everything we can to support them.” Read more about the Kansas convening here: https://bit.ly/3ZI4XRS #InclusiveGrowth #FinancialInclusion

A landmark visit to the Sunflower State last week from Ambassador to the U.S. Hilda Suka-Mafudze of the African Union. Last year, Kansas exports to Africa grew 44% compared to 2022. Strengthening the Kansas-Africa partnership is crucial, and after this visit, we’re looking forward to making it even stronger.
