2025 Protein Superbowl Upset🥊 – Fish expected to overtake reigning champions, poultry! 2025 is predicted to be the year of the fish 🐟 (and the snake 🐍) where global seafood production growth rates will overtake poultry growth production rates. This will put seafood as one of the leading contributors to global #proteinsupply growth. Seafood (including both aquaculture and wild caught) is predicted to grow by 2.3% in 2025, contributing 5 million metric tons to global protein supply. As overall global protein demand continues to increase, it's more important than ever to support sustainable and innovative methods of increasing farm production and efficiency to meet these demands. Our goal at Knip is to support aquaculture with our feed solutions, that help farmers get more fish from feed, increasing farm efficiency and rising to meet a growing seafood demand. https://lnkd.in/e8wWPdQR #Aquaculture #FishHealth #StressManagement #SustainableFarming #FeedAdditives #AquacultureInnovation #Seafood #AnimalNutrition #trout #shrimp #salmon #fermentation #synbio #agtech #bluetech

🐟 Stress-Free Fish, Healthy Farms 🌿 The life of a fish comes with many stressful events, changes in water temperature, handling, and transport all can take their toll and cause fish to stop eating, which slows down growth and decreases overall health. That's where JUV™ comes in - Our #functional #ingredient helps fish maintain their aggressive feed response through stress and illness, allowing farmers to use medicated feed. JUV™ ensures fish continue growing to reach market size, so farms can have more #efficient production even through illness. With JUV™, stress doesn't stop your fish or #production! 🌊 #Aquaculture #FishHealth #StressManagement #SustainableFarming #FeedAdditives #AquacultureInnovation #Seafood #AnimalNutrition #trout #shrimp #salmon #fermentation #synbio #agtech #bluetech Knip

🌍 Did you know that the average aquaculture farmer in the U.S. is 57.8 years old? Not only in aquaculture but across farms, we're running into a #generational renewal problem. As our current generation of #farmers begins to retire, we will need young people with a passion for farming to step in and help keep these critical systems running. 🐟 Getting into aquaculture can seem challenging, not just because of its complexity but also due to the need for real-world, hands-on experience on a commercial farm. However, with the rapid expansion of U.S. aquaculture and new research driving #sustainability and #profitability, there’s never been a better time for young people to step in, build on the work of today’s farmers, and help shape the future of the industry. That's why programs, like the Riverence Provisions #internship program are so vital. To offer a new generation of aquaculture professionals hands-on experience, training, and further a passion for aquaculture! 🌊 https://lnkd.in/eAjXdFW4 #aquaculture #farmers #USAaquaculture #seafood #americanindustry #fishfarm #seafoodproduction #trout #salmon #shrimp #troutfarmers

🌱🔬 Harnessing The Invisible World of Microbes!🐟 At Knip, we’re committed to advancing aquaculture through innovative solutions that improve fish health and feed efficiency, which enhances overall productivity in aquaculture. One key to our success? Harnessing the incredible world of microbes! While we use our microbe to create our functional ingredient, there are a wide range of other uses being applied! Some microbes can be used to perform #bioremediation, where these bacteria are added to water in farms to help remove waste and toxins, and even harmful bacteria, and transform the environment to be healthier and more productive. 🌍 It's incredible to discover how diverse the world of microbes is, and we are just scraping the surface of the powers of #microbes. From creating foods to medicines to cleaning the environment, the world is full of hard-working microbes! 🌱 #Aquaculture #Sustainability #Microbiome #FishHealth #InnovativeSolutions #SustainableFarming

🌱🌍 The Invisible World of Microbes in Fermentation! 🌍🌱 Did you know that the same #microbes that help ferment the foods we love, like kimchi and yogurt, can be harnessed to create powerful “biopackages” that benefit animals? 🤔 At Knip, we’re harnessing the power of fermentation to create our functional feed ingredients. Similar to how fermented foods are beneficial to humans and our gut #microbiome health, fermentation is also beneficial to animals. 🐟 We are seeing lots of innovation and interest in fermentation. By leveraging different microbes, we can unlock the potential of nature’s invisible helpers to create many different new products. Amazingly, the same process used to make the foods we're familiar with (such as cheese, wine, beer, etc.) can also be used to create everything from bioplastics to medicines + vitamins to biofuels, and new food products. 🌱 Fermentation is a key part of a food-resilient future. 🌿 #Aquaculture #Fermentation #Microbes #AnimalHealth #Innovation #AquacultureNutrition #syntheticbiology #guthealth #trout #shrimp #salmon #aquaculturefeed
