Kobo’s Head of Research Jerome Marston, PhD recently had the opportunity to deliver a guest lecture at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). Speaking to Laura Perez’s “Education in Humanitarian Emergencies” class, Jerome highlighted the pivotal role of digital data collection platforms, like KoboToolbox, for monitoring, reporting, and preventing attacks against education. In the context of humanitarian emergencies and conflict zones, access to timely accurate data is crucial for protecting education from attack and informing response efforts. Thank you Columbia | SIPA for the invitation and for driving this important conversation!
