The Licel vTEE has been evaluated and approved by EMVCo for the iOS platform. That means that, in less than a year, our groundbreaking Virtual Trusted Execution Environment has been EMVCo-approved for both major mobile platforms - Android and iOS. It is currently the only TEE of any kind to hold this EMVCo approval. The upshot of this dual-platform approval is that developers can now confidently use Trusted Applications (TA) for both Android and iOS. Companies in innovative payment verticals like mobile wallets and SoftPOS are already using the Licel vTEE to protect the most sensitive operations their apps carry out. We'd like to acknowledge and thank Applus+ Laboratories - the laboratory responsible for evaluating the Licel vTEE for both platforms this year - for their great work. 🙏 Find out more (from us and from Applus+ Laboratories) in our press release: #mobilepayments #iOS #Android #mobilesecurity https://lnkd.in/eEDAHpmp

How does malware spread across a country in a matter of days? Our threat and device intelligence solution, Alice, was put to work to answer that question. In the article below, we explain how we detected the netflixmirror malware, how it was able to spread rapidly across India, and how both Alice and DexProtector are mitigating the growing malware threat. https://lnkd.in/efd_QRA7 #malware #mobilesecurity #threatintelligence

Mobile banking fraud is on the rise, with eKYC fraud fast becoming one of the biggest security risks for banks. AI and deepfake technology is making it easier for fraudsters to pretend they are somebody they are not - sometimes someone who doesn't even exist. And if this fake user slips through the net and is onboarded, it can result in money lost to bogus credit card payments as well as regulatory punishments. The stakes are high. But eKYC fraud can be stopped with the right security strategy. In our latest article, we explain how: #FraudPrevention #eKYC #CyberThreats #MobileAppSecurity https://lnkd.in/euM8j72a

External security testing, evaluation, and validation has always been hugely important to us here at Licel. That’s why DexProtector has been EMVCo evaluated and approved for 4 consecutive years. And we were determined to do the same thing with our latest product; the Licel Virtual Trusted Execution Environment (vTEE). It too has recently received an EMVCo Evaluation Certificate. The company responsible for its meticulous testing and validation is Applus+ Laboratories, a global leader in the testing, inspection, and certification sector. Incredibly well respected and with a wealth of experience, their diligence and expertise contributed greatly to a seamless evaluation process. We’d like to share our sincere thanks for their collaboration and support. 🙏 Read the full press release for more details about the vTEE, including why we suspect it might lead to Applus+ working on more PCI MPoC projects in the coming months and years! https://lnkd.in/eMwe4ZYy #cybersecurity #payments #softpos
