A donor milk pasteurization lab at Mothers' Milk Bank Northeast may not have been what two of our Project Onramp students pictured when they applied for the program last summer, but ensuring that human donor milk is safe for vulnerable infants is a critical process at a highly regulated nonprofit milk bank. Read more about Kuukuwa Darkwa's and Maryona Vicente's experiences at Mother's Milk Bank and how Project Onramp interns are making an impact: https://lnkd.in/eYhkzPha. And congrats to Maryona for continuing as an intern at Mothers' Milk Bank this semester!

Got a tour of our alumni nonprofit partner, Just A Start's, new economic mobility hub, where they will bring together affordable housing, job training, and community resources to support economic opportunity—and it was AMAZING! The building has 24 units of housing (which they've received 19,000 applications for!), youth build woodworking and solar panel installation training space, pre-K rooms, kindergarten rooms, new office space, and a new lab training space that will enable the potential for significant growth in their Biomedical Careers Training Program. LSC is incredibly proud to have been a key partner and invested in this incredible organization!

One of ten interns at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Billy Joaquin had a game-changing internship that led him to consider new job possibilities, gain greater confidence in his abilities, and appreciate this unique opportunity to make an impact. We’re aiming to have 200+ Project Onramp interns this summer. If you’d like to learn how your company can host one (or more!), reach out to tiffany@lifesciencecares.org or learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gzKUjeG8.
