🌱LivingSoiLL at the "Soil Health Solutions & Monitoring: the bio(technological) contributions"! The workshop “Soil Health Solutions and Monitoring: the bio(technological) contributions” integrated in the Curricular Unit “Soil Sciences and New Technologies” of the Master in Soil Assessment and Remediation, has the participation of national and European researchers who have been working in developing new tools to promote and monitor soil health. The approval of the new Soil Monitoring and Resilience Directive is expected in 2025, so it is of utmost importance that Portugal and Europe are prepared for its implementation, in order to attain the European target of achieving full soil health by 2050. The researchers involved are also members of large European projects such as the PHENET Project – Tools and methods for extended plant PHENotyping and EnviroTyping services of European Research Infrastructures and the LivingSoiLL project, in which Universidade do Porto, the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto | FCUP (DBIO and DGAOT), GreenUPorto – Research Center for Agro-food Production Sustentável are also partners. These projects aim to develop different tools and soil health monitoring systems to be applied in different agro(ecosystems). 📅Date: January 27, 2025 ⌚Time: 09:15 AM - 11:15 AM 📍 The workshop is open to all stakeholders 👇 https://lnkd.in/dayrJ9V2 🌱Protect the soil, protect our future.
