☑️ Birth control access is about health, freedom, and the ability to plan our own futures. When we share our stories, we remind the people listening how crucial it is to protect the ability to make our own choices. The YouR HeAlth Survey from Power to Decide found that about 25% of young people did NOT have the info they needed to make a decision about whether using birth control is right for them. It's important for everyone to have reliable resources to access the care they deserve. #ThxBirthControl ✨

💡 We were honored to co-organize a session for the inaugural #RISE #UP for Breast Cancer conference including Medicines360 CEO Andrea Olariu, board member Elizabeth Garner, Julia Lichtman Kepniss of Brem Foundation to Defeat Breast Cancer, Liz Powell of G2G - Innovative Government Affairs Consulting, and advocate Vivian Lee on the topic of "Making Prevention and Holistic Care a Priority in Women’s Health." Our session also included Janet Woodcock, former Acting Commissioner of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Diana Blithe of the National Institutes of Health (NIH). 📍The three-day conference was the culmination of a year-long endeavor to build a new meeting based in San Francisco focused on prevention across the span of a woman's lifetime. 🙌🏽 Thank you to Laura Esserman of UCSF Health and the incredible team including Katherine Leggat-Barr, Molly Baxter, Kelly Adduci, Latisha Luu, Quantum Leap Healthcare Collaborative, Diversity by Doing (DxD) HealthTech, Autumn Ehnow and many others who collaborated to create this first-of-its-kind cross-disciplinary event. 🌏 FHI 360 and the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. recently hosted an in-person meeting of the Hormonal IUD Access Group in Washington D.C., where donors, procurers, suppliers, and implementing partners met to discuss the exciting progress of #hormonalIUD introduction in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) and strategies for expanding access for more women in the future. Medicines360 works with partners like DKT WomanCare Global to make our hormonal IUD, #Avibela, available at an affordable price in 88 LMICs. 🙌🏽 Thank you to FHI 360 and Clinton Health Access Initiative, Inc. for organizing this important meeting.
