Midwest Young Artists Conservatory

Since moving into the Stockade Building in 2000, MYAC has been planning to build an educational concert hall. Our vision became part of the City of Highwood's Comprehensive Plan in 2013, before we purchased the land for this purpose. With over 100 concerts and events held each year and very few performance venues available, our students express how important an educational concert hall would be for their growth and development.

MYAC is so glad to welcome Irene Forte to our staff. She has only been here a couple of months, but it seems like so much longer. Irene has a music background, including working for a non-profit that commissioned and performed new sacred music.

MYAC presents Music @The Fort recitals on Sundays at 6 pm that are about an hour of music in an informal, intimate setting with a wine & cheese reception before and during the performance. The next one is this Sunday, October 27 and will feature a quartet made up of MYAC Alumni that will perform works by Haydn, Mendelssohn and Piazzolla.

The concert series will feature extraordinary performances by Alexander Liu, Anna Kesselman, Taige Wang, Ryan Huang, and Ryan Wang, promising an unforgettable experience of classical music excellence.
