Reflecting on an Incredible 2024 ✨ As we wrap up 2024, we reflect on an incredible year filled with remarkable growth, hard work, and success at Milk Makeup. From groundbreaking product launches to empowering community initiatives, we are so proud of everything we've achieved together. This year, we saw some of our most exciting product launches yet. Our Jelly Tints went viral, with one selling every 20 seconds! We also introduced Cloud Glow, Kush Lip Oil, Hydro Grip + Glow Primer, Kush High Roll Mascara, and our first-ever Tubing Brow Gel—each one quickly becoming a makeup bag essential. We also celebrated a major milestone by reaching 1 MILLION followers on TikTok 🎉We owe this accomplishment to our amazing Milk Makeup fam and our incredible marketing team that continues to push boundaries. In addition to our product innovations, we’ve made huge strides in our commitment to wellness and inclusivity. This year, we launched our Employee-Focused Wellness Series, where we explored essential topics like work-life harmony, mental health, and financial well-being. Our DEI initiatives continued to grow with the announcement of our 2024/2025 DEI Council and the launch of our Buddy Program. These initiatives are designed to foster inclusivity, support new hires, and ensure a welcoming environment for all at Milk Makeup. We also continued our partnership with The Center and Chill Foundation, giving back to our community by supporting the work of The Center and hosting the Bronx Girls Skate event at our office, inspiring the next generation of creatives. We also want to highlight our internship program, which received over 10,000 applicants this year. Our program serves as a gateway to real-world experiences, fostering learning and growth. Our inspiring bi-weekly Lunch + Learn sessions became a cornerstone of the year, offering interns and team members the chance to share inspiring stories, advice, and career insights, furthering growth and learning across the company. As we reflect on these milestones, we’re filled with immense joy to see our contributions not only to the beauty and creative world but also to our community and to the experiences of our incredible team. This past Monday, we hosted our End-of-Year Wellness Session: Finding Balance & Well-being this Holiday Season, and it was nothing short of inspiring. 🌟 We partnered with The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center to bring two amazing speakers to our Milk Makeup community: Sophia Glass, LCSW, Director of Mental Health, and Mickey Correa, LCSW, M.Div., Senior Director of Behavioral Health. Sophia, who oversees The Center’s mental health programming, and Mickey, a bilingual and bicultural AfroPuerto Rican licensed mental health professional, shared their expertise on creating balance, prioritizing self-care, and staying grounded amidst the holiday hustle. They offered practical tips for preventing burnout, recognizing both big and small wins, and finding moments of peace during the busiest time of the year. Thank you, Sophia and Mickey, for taking the time to share your experience and tips on how we can prioritize our well-being this season. What an incredible way to close out the year! Last week, we hosted our final Brand Mixer of 2024 at Milk Studios LA, and it was our biggest turnout yet. With 135 attendees from 55 brands supporting Southern California SEPHORA stores, the evening was filled with collaboration, education, and an amazing sense of community. 🎉 Last Lunch + Learn of 2024! 🎉 Our amazing Co-founder, Mazdack Rassi, hosted our final Lunch + Learn of 2024, sharing his incredible Milk Makeup journey and his professional background with our interns 🌟 Rassi emphasized the importance of being the best at whatever you do, no matter the role. He encouraged our interns to experiment and explore different fields, focusing more on what they don't want to do rather than what they think they want to do. Sharing his personal journey from working at the Gap to starting a photography studio in New York, Rassi highlighted the power of taking risks, seizing opportunities, and building the right network and partnerships. He also spoke about the importance of passion, hard work, and resilience, drawing from his own experiences of growing Milk Studios into a top studio and building Milk Makeup from the ground up. One of Rassi's key takeaways: Your personal journey and development are your true projects in life. Working for others can be a valuable means to learn and grow. He also stressed the importance of surrounding yourself with mentors who can guide you through challenges.
