  • We are thrilled to announce that our October Round Up campaign in support of the American Cancer Society raised a record-breaking $90,000 to support breast cancer research and treatment programs. This total includes the incredible generosity of our Mirabito Convenience Store customers, who rounded up their purchases throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month, as well as a significant contribution from Mirabito itself. The funds raised will directly benefit the American Cancer Society's efforts to advance life saving research, provide vital resources for patients, and promote early detection and prevention. THANK YOU to everyone who made this milestone possible. We are so incredibly grateful. #MirabitoCares #RoundUp

  • Energy futures markets headed into the holiday trending lower. Without any major global events, traders turned to the weaker than anticipated Chinese demand pulling prices down. Factors influencing upward movement in natural gas were higher than average withdrawals, decreased production and cold weather (so far).

  • Our team of Mirabito Cares volunteers have been BUSY this month! We participated in multiple days of ringing the Red Kettle Bell for the Salvation Army, hosted the 17th Annual Toy Drive for the Children's Charity of Greater Binghamton, helped plungers warm up at the Oneida Shores Special Olympics Polar Plunge...and more! At Mirabito, we believe that our people make energy different by working together to make the communities we serve stronger.

  • Energy trading finished with lower prices last week. While OPEC+ did extend production cuts through March 2025, traders felt it was not long enough. Demand and U.S. jobs data also disappointed, pulling prices downward. On the natural gas front, it is seven weeks and counting for storage inventory increases and while temps have been chilly, the forecast for mid-December is warmer than average.

  • Energy futures markets dropped early last week in light of the cease-fire agreement in the Middle East and continued downward right through Friday. Natural gas continues to see 5-year highs in storage inventory but that trend is expected to change with the weather becoming colder.

  • Energy markets (especially crude) were on the rise last week, a direct correlation to the tension and fighting between Russia and Ukraine. The U.S. supplied long-range missiles to Ukraine raised the bar and Russia is thought to have responded with their own intercontinental ballistic missile. Though natural gas prices rebounded a bit, supply and temperatures remain higher than average keeping prices in-check.
