Our 3rd annual PIT Skills Showcase was a huge success! Our Safety team highlighted the best PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) Operators from each division within the Flooring North America business unit to compete in the ultimate test of skill and knowledge while utilizing safe and efficient driving practices. They started with over 500 operators from 50+ facilities and narrowed it down to the top 8 operators from each division. Congratulations to our winners: Matthew (1st Place, Wood & Laminate), Alan (2nd Place, Samples), and Alejandro (3rd Place, Resilient). 👏

After Hurricane Helene hit the Southeast and brought record rainfall to North Carolina, Mohawk united to support impacted communities. Our logistics team ran multiple trailers full of supplies into North Carolina, including two loads of water purchased by Mohawk to Flat Rock, NC, and a trailer of water from FEMA into Charlotte. Several facilities also held supply drives and filled trailers with goods, which were then transported by Mohawk drivers to in-need areas. One employee, who also happens to be a pilot, even volunteered to take supplies into remote areas by plane. We also want to commend the Asheville, Charlotte, and surrounding area Dal-Tile employees who immediately assisted the area the following days after the hurricane. We are very proud of the many teams, facilities, and team members who stepped up to help during this time. Thank you all for helping us do more for our communities in need!

Happy National Recycling Day! At Mohawk, we are committed to sustainability, and today, we’re spotlighting a few of our efforts in case you’re new around here. 👋 Through our award-winning ReCover program, we take used flooring (any flooring, not just ours) and turn it into all-new products. Since 2006, this program has helped divert over 160 million pounds of flooring from landfills! Of course, we can’t go without mentioning that over the past decade, we have recycled over 6 billion plastic bottles into durable carpet fiber used in our EverStrand, EnviroStrand, and new Pet Premier carpets! Special thanks to all Mohawk team members across the globe for helping us stay at the forefront of sustainability in our industry! ♻️

Our Product Circularity team recently visited our Commercial carpet tile manufacturing plant in Glasgow, VA., to learn more about our Commercial flooring and all the exciting sustainability efforts there! We're committed to making a difference and driving sustainability initiatives across our organization! ♻️

Our teams were excited to volunteer for two Mohawk-sponsored Make a Difference Day projects through United Way of Northwest Georgia. Mohawk volunteers installed and stocked two new Little Free Libraries at Westside Elementary School and Cedar Ridge Elementary School in Dalton, GA. 📚 The Little Free Libraries operate on a simple, community-driven concept: Participants are encouraged to leave books they've enjoyed in the boxes, allowing others to discover new titles, then browse the selection and take a book home to read, promoting a spirit of sharing and learning while making reading materials available year-round. We're grateful to be able to serve in the communities where our teams live and work! 🫶

Members of our Marketing and Wood & Laminate Product teams recently partnered with One Tree Planted, Food Well Alliance, and local retail partners to break ground on a new orchard at Tara Elementary School in Morrow, GA. Mohawk began collaborating with One Tree Planted in January as part of a renewed focus on sustainability throughout our wood line (RevWood and TecWood). Through our partnership with One Tree Planted, we have been planting trees one floor at a time since the start of the partnership. This orchard will support education and local food pantries for years to come, and we are so proud to support our communities through our products and hands-on volunteering. 🌳🤍
