Congratulations to Monte Nido Walden's Medical Director, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Nicole Christian-Brathwaite, MD, who was recently Mayo Clinic's invited grand round speaker and trainer on the impacts of racial trauma.
I am immensely grateful for the two days I had the privilege of spending in Jacksonville, FL with members of the Mayo Clinic Health System and Office for Education Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. I was fortunate to be invited by the Office for Education DEI to deliver Grand Rounds on The Impact of Racial Trauma on Learners and Trainees. I also had the opportunity to interact with Mayo leaders and staff in small groups and 1:1 coaching sessions. This was an incredibly rewarding experience. I learned so much from Mayo Staff, Attendings, and Trainees. Thank you Amy Seegmiller Renner, PhD and Caleta Beards for the extensive coordination and planning, leading to an exceptional 2 days! #racialtrauma #traumainformed #traumasensitive #MayoClinic
