  • We're thrilled to announce a new partnership between mejo and the IgG4ward! Foundation to create IgG4ME!—a care coordination app tailored for individuals living in the US with IgG4-Related Disease (IgG4-RD). Launching in early 2025, this free app will empower IgG4-RD patients and caregivers to: ·      Log symptoms and track flares ·      Manage medications ·      Store and share medical documents ·      Communicate updates with healthcare providers John Stone MD, MPH of the IgG4ward! Foundation shared why this collaboration is vital: "Managing IgG4-RD often feels overwhelming, with multiple organ systems, specialists, and diagnostic procedures to track. We're excited to partner with mejo to deliver IgG4ME!, a customized companion to help patients rise to the challenge." At mejo, we’re honored to expand our work in rare diseases to include adult patients and simplify care coordination for the IgG4-RD community. As our Co-Founder Bret Koncak said: "This partnership reflects our mission to empower rare disease patients and caregivers with tools that truly make a difference." • Who doesn’t love to save time!?! “I am a mom of a 7 year old with multiple disabilities due to a hypoxic injury at birth. I found mejo on a facebook group so I followed them on social media. It took me a while to create an account and get it set up for my son. But, I’m so glad we did! We recently got a new home health nurse with a new agency and it was so easy to send over all of my son’s medications and providers for his intake. Yesterday we had his yearly re-evaluation for his nursing hours. His caseworker sent me an email last week asking to have all of his medications and medical providers ready for his appointment. Since I had it all in mejo already I just emailed it over to her. It made his re evaluation so easy and we saved probably 30 mins since she didn’t have to write down all of his medications and providers. It also ensured that I didn’t forget anything in the moment. She commmeted on how great it was and how she wished all families had an account set up. mejo has made keeping up on the administrative side of medical parenting so easy!” - Allison Moise #caregiver #medicallycomplex #casemanager #nursing

  • Today, we pause to honor and thank the brave veterans who have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedom and serving our country. Your resilience, sacrifice, and commitment inspire us every day. On this Veterans Day, we are especially mindful of the families and caregivers who support and care for veterans. The journey of service does not end with a return home, and the strength of loved ones remains a vital source of healing and hope. From all of us at mejo, thank you to the veterans, families, and caregivers who remind us of the power of community, compassion, and courage. #veterans #caregivers #usa

  • New Blog: Smiles for Ceci "While Rett has changed her life and our life as a family, it hasn’t changed the wonderful little girl Ceci is and always would be with or without Rett. She’s present and knows far more than she is able to communicate to us. She is smart, sharp, and has her own little sense of humor. Being a parent to a child with Rett Syndrome is a unique challenge. The simple things we take for granted like being able to dress oneself, use the restroom, bathe, walk, talk, get her up and down stairs, etc. are all things we constantly need to help Ceci do. Short of medical breakthroughs, she will need this support her whole life. Some of the biggest challenges are working to keep her engaged in everything we do with our family and staying on top of her therapies, to name a few. With 3 other siblings, it’s a challenge to make sure we engage Ceci in the activities that our neurotypical kids can do. Working to make sure our other kids can learn and understand what Ceci deals with is an ongoing education. The MRA app is most helpful for us for the journal section. It allows us to keep track of Ceci’s Bowel habits, health updates, behavior and her medication schedule. It was particularly helpful in the last month when we had traveled over a weekend and we lost track of who gave her her medicine and when. It was just nice to be able to look back and know when and where we did it to avoid over or under dosage, which could be bad for Ceci." -Brien Gearin Dad and Caregiver Click the link to read the full blog post #raredisease #rettsyndrome #caregiver #healthtech #digitalhealth

  • New blog: Teamwork makes the dream work. Written by: Myra Holland Every appointment, every meeting, every moment, “are we doing enough?”. Often there’s no definitive answer and we’re left to figure it out day to day on our own. Any given day with Wes may seem routine, but we never know how it will go. Most days I stay with him and take him through stretches, medications, and his favorite activity – watching Bluey. Often times, this is the only moment he gets to sit up and see the world from a new perspective as he struggles to breathe upright for long periods of time. Daily routines can vary though there are certain things which must stay the same and this is where mejo comes in. I began using mejo to compile Wesley’s daily routine, medications, therapies, and more to post in one concise page on the fridge. More recently, I used mejo to fill in Jake and Nate for the multiple appointments Wesley had when I was traveling to a rare disease conference. It came in handy for referencing everything from recent progress in OT to current medication doses (they change every month if not every few weeks due to the intractable nature of his epilepsy). The appointments went smoothly even though I wasn’t there to join in and add my two cents, they were already in his mejo. I plan to take mejo printouts everywhere now. It replaced our normal handwritten paper covered in scribbles and scratch outs. Now one lives in his diaper bag, one for doctors appointments, and one for caregivers on the rare night out. We are excited to announce our collaboration with Seattle Children's to deliver a new feature in the mejo web app. The collaborative effort aims to empower families to easily create visually stunning showcases highlighting their loved ones' lives outside the hospital. This initiative includes development of an intuitive interface guiding families to seamlessly integrate photos and videos, and could help clinicians quickly gain a deeper understanding of their patients. “I am excited to empower families to share their unique stories and experiences directly with their care teams,” said Dr. Jori Bogetz, director of research, Treuman Katz Center for Pediatric Bioethics and Palliative Care, Seattle Children’s Research Institute and assistant professor, Department of Pediatrics, University of Washington School of Medicine."
