We just hit £2M in revenue! 🤑 We also just signed 4 new clients. 🥳 We’re hiring 6 new members of staff because we cannot handle the workload. It’s all so exciting!! 🙌🏽 That’s all I bloody ever hear when I go to networking events. It’s a not-so-humble brag. And most of the time it’s just bullsh*t. 🙄 They’re actually struggling, but they don’t want to seem “weak”. This is why I created N0BS. It stands for No Bullsh*t, and it’s all about having real, transparent and authentic conversations with each other. If things are going well, then great! We share some of those tips with those who aren’t doing so well. We share ideas, tools, resources and just have each others’ backs. 🥰 Stop seeing people as competitors or someone you need to impress, and instead build an extension of your team with other founders who can help you grow. LinkedIn is now just like high school. 🙈🙈 The popular kids decide what the rules are and dictate what’s cool. They’re the ones getting all the attention because they’re the pretty ones or they have the most money (supposedly). Others feel the need to either get in their crowd to reap the benefits, or admit they’re “not cool”. My experience on LinkedIn right now is just like it was at high school: 👎🏽   I hate all the fakeness 👎🏽   I don’t feel like I fit in anywhere 👎🏽   People I used to like sell out for the popularity 👎🏽   I may be the best at something, but I’m not the prettiest or richest, so it doesn’t matter   I really disliked high school. I barely liked anyone there and I was miserable. How did I survive it? I had friends outside of school and did so many “extra-curricular” things. Then I hung out with the very few people who didn’t give a sh*t about all the fake stuff. 🥳🥳 I realise that my strategy with LinkedIn is no different. I’m all about culturing relationships OFF LinkedIn. I want to spend time getting to know real people in real life.
