NACWG exists to advise the First Minister on what’s needed to tackle gender inequality in Scotland

About us

The National Advisory Council on Women and Girls (NACWG) was formed as a catalyst for change, addressing gender inequality by providing independent strategic advice to the First Minister. With all recommendations made during Phase One accepted by the Scottish Government, Phase Two NACWG is pushing forward the implementation of these systemic changes, with a focus on accountability, implementation and participation, to ensure the delivery of recommendations not only shapes policy development but also influences the system as a whole.
