PROGRESS The historic gut renovation at 1 Commercial Street is making headway! The bottom floor will be a retail space, and the top three floors will be high-end condos overlooking Portland Harbor. The interior has been gutted, and the new floors are being framed. This 17,500 square foot facility is comprised of 4 bay doors with enough depth to park 8 emergency apparatus, 5 sleeping quarters, a full kitchen, conference room, administrative offices and a decontamination room. Still a lot of excitement from the big announcement last week! For as long as I've been involved with Bring Back the Trades, Inc, people have been saying "You guys should really do something with Mike Rowe". Well.... we listened! As part of a collaborative effort with Grappone Automotive, PROCON, Inc., the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH) and Bring Back the Trades, Inc, the legendary host of Dirty Jobs will be the special guest at a massive one-day, NH Bringing Back the Trades event to be held on November 15th, 2024 at New Hampshire Technical Institute's Concord campus. In addition to Mike Rowe, the event will feature the largest Bring Back the Trades, Inc, Skilled Trades Exhibition ever held, as well as live music and $50,000 in scholarships earmarked for local students pursuing a career in the skilled trades.
