    Sometimes, Nuuly rentals come back to us needing a little extra love, and we’re here for it. Last year alone, our talented repairs team extended the life of 1.7 million garments by removing 1.2 million stains, fixing 500,000 rips and replacing 50,000 buttons. More ways we’re keeping clothes wearable longer? Our Re_Nuuly edit, which focuses on upcycling retired rentals into fresh designs through collabs with designers like Zero Waste Daniel + with our Thrift Shop which features final-sale pieces at super sweet discounts.     Meet Pamela Duque, the Divisional Merchandising Manager at Nuuly. Pamela has been with Nuuly for almost 6 years, and leads the Buying and Buying Operations teams—which means she's responsible for overseeing product and making sure our shipments arrive on time for our subscribers to rent. In her day-to-day, you’ll find Pamela meeting with brands to source new styles, running numbers with the data science team, or developing lookbooks alongside the merchandising team. Her role often takes Pamela outside of our HQ in Philadelphia—in fact, she recently traveled to New Delhi and Copenhagen to research some new looks for our subscribers. Pamela’s time at Nuuly has given her both personal and professional growth. She said, “I have had the opportunity to learn from such smart people. This is very cheesy, but sometimes in meetings I look around and I can’t believe I get the opportunity to learn and share thoughts and ideas with all of them.” She’s a self-proclaimed ‘yes’ person, and believes that a smile goes a very long way when working in a tight-knit team. Outside of work, you can usually find Pamela taking a workout class, perusing local antique malls or experimenting with natural fabric dyeing techniques. And on a Friday at 5pm? To say that core memories were created is an understatement! The ripples we are making by TAKING UP SPACE all over the place reach beyond what we can even comprehend.     Meet Cara Heenan, Senior Associate of Brand Marketing at Nuuly. Cara joined our team in February 2020 and began as a Customer Success Associate. She then transitioned to a Sample Coordinator role and later continued her Nuuly journey by landing a post on the marketing team. Cara has enjoyed working on different areas of the business, but her favorite part has always been the people. She said, “Everyone I’ve worked with here has taught me so much, whether they know it or not. It’s great working at a place where everyone is welcoming and happy to aid in your career growth.” On an average day, you’ll find Cara wearing many different hats. She spends her days coordinating new product collabs and brand partnerships, like our recent partnership with KC Current, and looping in our PR agency with upcoming Nuuly news. On top of that, Cara helps manage various press events, and was thrilled to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony of our KC Fulfilment Center earlier this year. When she isn’t at the office, you might find Cara hitting the slopes. As an avid skier since her childhood, she loves spending the winter months in the mountains. Highlights: 🚀 Sales Growth: Net sales up 48% to $97.2 million. 👗 Subscriber Surge: 51% increase in average active subscribers. 💪 Strong Retention: Nearly 45% stay after 12 months, 40% after 36 months.     Meet Jack Delaney, the Senior Manager of Analytics at Nuuly. Jack joined our team in 2019—right at the launch—and leads a team of analysts in crunching numbers, crafting data-based stories + working to keep Nuuly Nuulying. A self-proclaimed morning person, Jack does most of his best work before his meetings start for the day. He passes his time by checking in on most of Nuuly’s teams to make sure things are running smoothly and working alongside the other analysts on their long-term, strategic projects. Jack isn’t all numbers-driven, though! He said, “I majored in finance & journalism in college, and I feel like my role blends both of those: I get to gather information, craft a story, and solve real business problems. The storytelling is important!” He described Nuuly as “the most interesting business on Earth,” and explained, “for some companies, it’s a problem when 1% of orders result in a return. For us, it’s 100% of orders that result in a return. And finding ways to make that work is fascinating.” He is also driven by the idea that Nuuly can offer unique data to the *entire* fashion industry, since his team can gather information about the durability and longevity of garments. When Jack isn’t spinning numbers into stories at work, he’s reading at home—most recently James by Percival Everett, a reimagining of Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. He’s also an avid sports fan, and spends his weekends watching baseball games and reading about the league. In fact, most of his knowledge about data analytics began by teaching himself NBA analytics in his free time. #nuuly #urbn #meettheteam #dataanalyst

    Meet Natalie Hurst, the Director of Customer Success at Nuuly. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Natalie relocated to Philly to join the Nuuly team just before our launch, over 5 years ago. In her day-to-day, you’ll find Natalie leading our Customer Success team—which started with just two associates and has grown to 60+! She also specializes in connecting our customers’ experiences and feedback with the various Nuuly teams. When it comes to leadership, Natalie draws inspiration from networking with other customer service professionals, which in turn inspires her in building a supportive environment for her team. She told us, “I determine my own success by my teams’ well-being and success in their roles, so that’s the area where I’m constantly looking to grow.” She’s also passionate about building meaningful relationships with our subscribers and making sure that they have the Nuuliest experience possible! Outside of work, you can find Natalie listening to The Tortured Poets Department on repeat, diving into a good historical novel or having deep conversations with friends.
