Established in 1937, OAB is one of the nation’s oldest state broadcast associations. With approximately 95 percent of Ohio TV stations and 80 percent of Ohio radio stations as members, OAB advocates on behalf of Ohio’s broadcast industry in Washington and in Columbus. OAB also offers its members services and support they won't find anywhere else — including legal and engineering hotlines, EEO compliance assistance, online training resources, and much more. One of the services the OAB offers is a job board for broadcasters to post position openings. To post a job, create a member profile and request a username at www.oab.org/jobs. CONGRATS to longtime voice of Cleveland Guardians, Tom Hamilton, on receiving the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum's 2025 Ford C. Frick Award for excellence in baseball broadcasting! #OhioBroadcasters
Tom Hamilton, who has called Cleveland Guardians games on the radio for 35 seasons, has been selected as the 2025 recipient of the Ford C. Frick Award, presented annually for excellence in broadcasting by the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Hamilton will be honored during the Hall of Fame Awards Presentation as part of Hall of Fame Weekend, July 25-28, 2025. Hamilton becomes the 49th winner of the Frick Award.
