Quality stable housing for all in a socially, racially and economically inclusive community.
About us
Mission: Over-the-Rhine Community Housing is a non-profit organization that works to build and sustain a diverse neighborhood that values and benefits low-income residents. We focus on developing and managing resident-centered, affordable housing in an effort to promote inclusive community. Over-the-Rhine Community Housing was born out of the merger of ReSTOC and Over-the-Rhine Housing Network - two long standing affordable housing organizations in Over-the-Rhine. ReSTOC was founded in 1978 and Over-the-Rhine Housing Network in 1988. Both organizations were founded out of the same movement now recognized as the Over-the-Rhine People's Movement. In order to secure and sustain affordable housing and promote community based development in Over-the-Rhine the two organizations joined forces in April 2006.

Earlier this month, a few of our teammates attended the 17th Annual Celebrating Our Beloved Community: Walk Our Blocks event hosted by Over-the-Rhine Community Housing. Walking to about five locations, they were able to meet current tenants who shared their life struggles and how having a home helped them to overcome. Thank you, OTRCH for all that you do to provide affordable housing for low-income residents in our community and for your continued partnership.

This week, four of our #affordablehousing developments were honored at the 2024 Charles L. Edson Tax Credit Excellence Awards ceremony in Washington D.C. Our first award winner is the Barrister in the Historic Preservation category. Co-developers Over-the-Rhine Community Housing (OTRCH) and Urban Sites transformed two vacant, historic office buildings in downtown Cincinnati into the Barrister, which offers 44 units of dedicated, high-quality affordable housing and 2,000 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor. While this #historicrehab project’s buildings are each nearly 150 years old, the Barrister breaks new ground as the first Low Income Housing Tax Credit (#LIHTC) project in Cincinnati’s Central Business District in over three decades. Congratulations to our partners at Over-the-Rhine Community Housing and Urban Sites and the investors involved in making this outstanding affordable housing development possible. Representative Greg Landsman of Ohio presented the award at the official award ceremony. Learn more about our award winning developments at the link below. https://lnkd.in/gzausypH

OCCH is excited to announce the financial closing of Spaeth and Kelly Hall, a permanent supportive housing rehabilitation located in Cincinnati, Ohio. This 30-unit property is dedicated to supporting homeless and formerly homeless individuals who have experienced mental illness, serving households with incomes ranging from 30% to 50% of the area median income. Set to open in Winter 2025, Spaeth and Kelly Hall will provide residents with access to a variety of supportive services aimed at strengthening housing stability, promoting independence, and improving quality of life. These services, offered through local non-profits and supportive service agencies, will help residents plan for their future and achieve their goals. We extend our thanks to Over-the-Rhine Community Housing, Tender Mercies Inc., and all partners involved in this development!
