We close 2024 with a heart full of gratitude 🌿💚. This year taught us that when passion, teamwork and purpose come together, incredible things are achieved. Since the beginning of the year, our steps led us down a path full of challenges, learning and great achievements that inspire us to continue building positive impact. We started the year thanks to @avianca we took our snacks to the heights. ✈️ In February, the Hay Festival and @fundacionbancolombia supported us to promote a significant social impact through healthy snacks. 🌟 We consolidated a key alliance with @cumbresblancascolombia and the Mayor's Office of Subachoque to restore the Páramo de Guerrero. 🌱 Seeing the frailejones nurseries grow filled us with hope for the future. Thanks to @santanderbankus and @babsoncollege for giving us the opportunity to grow as entrepreneurs, reinforcing our vision and commitment. 🙌 Finally, between October and November , we were at @cop16colombia representing our mission and creating alliances that protect biodiversity. 🌍✨ Thanks to each ally and the community that made part of this 2024! 🙏 Together we proved that positive impact is possible. 💚 It fills us with excitement and energy to think of all that is to come in 2025. I'm thrilled to share that Paramo Snacks, in partnership with Cumbres Blancas NGO, has launched a transformative initiative to restore Colombia's precious Paramo ecosystems, vital for water conservation and biodiversity. At the UN COP16 in Cali, we proudly announced our alliance to protect endangered frailejones and raise awareness of the urgent need to preserve these high-altitude ecosystems. Why it matters: The Paramos play an essential role in water regulation and carbon capture, yet they’re facing serious threats from climate change, unsustainable agriculture, and deforestation. Our alliance will establish nurseries for endangered frailejones and launch the "Adopt a Frailejon" program, inviting people worldwide to support these ecosystems’ survival. 🌱💧 Paramo Snacks’ commitment goes beyond healthy, delicious snacks; as a women-owned company, we ensure fair trade practices and invest 2% of all sales into preserving the Paramos. This partnership with Cumbres Blancas amplifies our impact and embodies our mission to foster change, safeguard water resources, and inspire global action. It was a pleasure meeting Wade Davis—anthropologist, explorer and author of the book Magdalena. Hearing his deep admiration for Colombia, his passion when speaking about our natural wealth and biodiversity, fills us with pride in our country and inspires us to keep working to protect these unique treasures. We were able to share with him the wonderful book Cumbres Blancas about the Colombian Paramos. Thank you, Bancolombia, for this wonderful evening.
