BIG NEWS! Three of our senior living projects have been recognized in this year’s Senior Housing News Architecture & Design Awards, an annual program that recognizes the cutting-edge design, excellence, and innovation in #seniorliving. Taking first place in the “Independent Living” category, Inspirata Pointe at Royal Oaks is a senior living community in Sun City, AZ, that redefines desert living. Featuring sumptuous amenities such as a club center with three new restaurants, a classroom for the community’s life enrichment program full of engaging activities, and a concierge service center, Inspirata Pointe blends the best of #residential and #hospitality design.
John Knox Village, a luxury residential community in Pompano Beach, FL, secured second place in the “Independent Living” category. Inspired by Floridians’ coastal lifestyle, our team focused the design around a “campus heart” that aligned with the residents’ long-term vision. A new “experience district” formed the heart, which features a pedestrian-friendly lakeside path that connects social, cultural, fitness, dining, and residential areas. At the core are The Vue and Terrace of Westlake, which offer 147 luxury apartments with lakefront amenities and parking. Infused with the ideals of sun, sand, and sea, John Knox Village has redefined #generationalliving with its hospitality and wellness model.
In addition, Eastmont, a senior living community in Lincoln, NE, earned third place in the “Renovation/Repositioning (Campus)” category. Drawing inspiration from local landmarks such as the University of Nebraska-Lincoln stadium, the Nebraska State Capitol, agricultural rows, farmstead geometric shapes, and Lincoln railyards, the new design integrates familiar architectural elements into the community’s overall aesthetic. Eastmont features an interconnected series of existing towers linked by one-story common amenity spaces, enhancing the overall campus with a simple entry sequence that leads to each tower. The new common area showcases lively daylit spaces with garden views, and the campus now also includes a health and wellness center, pool, performing arts center, landscaped courtyards, a casual dining restaurant, 50 #independentliving apartments, and below-grade parking.
A big shout-out to the design teams for each of these projects, and congratulations too to our fellow winners. Check out the full list of 2024 winners on Senior Housing News: https://lnkd.in/eUTugPza
