Happy Rocky Day! Today we kicked off the first-ever RockyFest with the unveiling of a special gift from Sylvester Stallone, a heartfelt expression of appreciation for all the fans who have supported Rocky through the years. For the next 30 days, Mr. Stallone’s personal cast of the Rocky Statue by Thomas Schomberg- a twin to the one that sits at the base of these famous steps will grace the top of the iconic Art Museum Steps. Thank you to our incredible partners at Philadelphia Parks & Recreation, Philadelphia Museum of Art, Visit Philadelphia, Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau and the City of Philadelphia for making this moment possible. The celebration is just beginning - RockyFest officially kicks off today with an exciting week of events honoring Philly’s favorite underdog. 🥊 More info on RockyFest here ➡️ https://bit.ly/4iltlRO 📸 Rob Rabena for Visit Philly

This #GivingTuesday and beyond, support PHL Cares, a business-led initiative investing in pathways to housing solutions in Philadelphia. PHL Cares was founded by several leaders in Philadelphia's hospitality and business sectors, including John McNichol, president and CEO of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Donations fund long-term housing for those suffering from chronic homelessness, and tenant-based rental assistance coupled with wrap-around services. Thank you to everyone who attended today’s PHLCVB Annual Luncheon, a dynamic gathering that celebrated Philadelphia’s hospitality community. This year’s event at The Franklin Institute included a new lead-off speaking program where PHLCVB president and CEO Gregg C. announced record-breaking summer visitation numbers: between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day 2024, more than 1.6 million room nights were sold in Center City Philadelphia, an 8.2% increase over 2023, and the highest number ever recorded in the city, according to Tourism Economics. The program also included remarks by Mayor Cherelle Parker and the presentation of the PHLCVB Foundation’s Marie Baker Brown Scholarship to Caleigh Nelson, a junior at Temple University. New this year was a silent auction with many exciting items provided by generous PHLCVB partners, and guests were free to explore the museum, which recently unveiled two reimagined exhibitions: Body Odyssey and Hamilton Collections Gallery. The Luncheon benefits the PHLCVB Foundation, which supports activities that promote Philadelphia as a top-tier destination, hospitality education programs, and legacy projects that benefit the local community. In the spirit of gratitude on this day before Thanksgiving, the PHLCVB is thankful for its partners and sponsors who supported this event. Special thanks to presenting sponsors Comcast NBCUniversal, Visit Philadelphia, and the Pennsylvania Convention Center. #discoverPHL #Philadelphia #PHLCVBAnnualLuncheon
