We had the privilege of volunteering at the PHILADELPHIA250 Inaugural Mentorathon, hosted at Franklin Towne Charter High School. This inspiring event marked the launch of the Youth Mentorship Initiative, a key pillar of the organization’s Community Activation Strategy as we prepare to celebrate America’s Semiquincentennial in 2026. The Mentorathon also served as the kickoff to a weekend of service inspired by the enduring legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., while also commemorating National Mentoring Month. I was profoundly impressed by the remarkable panelists and the enthusiasm of the students, who collaborated to bridge classroom learning with real-world career opportunities.
