Name + Position: Jon Bohannon, Corporate Videographer Interest in Aviation ✈️: My main interest has always been filmmaking and photography. When I started my job as a ramp agent 10 years ago at Piedmont, that kicked off my love for aviation. Since then, my different positions within the company have furthered that interest as I have gotten the opportunity to see many sides of the industry. Ultimately I landed in the Corporate Communications department as a videographer, which has allowed me to learn more about all departments within the company. As I continue to learn more, my interest in aviation continues to grow. What do you LOVE about Piedmont? 💙 I love Piedmont because the company allows people to grow. From my beginning in the company on the ramp to where I am now, it's been a journey. Along the way, I've gotten to know a lot of people here within the company. When people say that Piedmont is a family, I think it rings true. I've met people here at Piedmont who have become close friends and I continue to keep in communication with other departments and build strong relationships.  Name + Position: Hamad Abdin, Structures Engineering Supervisor   Interest in Aviation ✈️: For a long time, I’ve been dreaming of being an engineer, specifically an aircraft engineer. I studied engineering aviation in India. I got my PE license (known as a Professional Engineer license) in San Antonio, Texas and started as a mechanic, that was 15 years ago. I joined Piedmont in 2016, I started as a mechanic doing heavy checks on the Dash 8s then became a quality control inspector.   What do you LOVE about Piedmont? 💙 Piedmont gave me a chance to grow, I got my engineering degree and became an engineer. At Piedmont, there are a lot of opportunities for people looking to grow in their careers. In 2022, I joined the engineering team as a tech support engineer supervisor and then transitioned into the role of a structures engineering supervisor.   Hamad Abdin is the latest and greatest #AviationLover at Piedmont Airlines. Name + Position: Breyonna Spriggs, Airline Dispatcher  Interest in Aviation ✈️: I've always had an interest in aviation. I started as a flight attendant, and I got bit by the aviation bug. I worked as a flight attendant for Piedmont during the Dash 8’s era, and I enjoyed learning about the aircraft and the industry itself. I felt like there was more than just being a flight attendant. That's when I transitioned to operations in the Philadelphia tower. I ended up coming to dispatch after seeing on a company website that they were sending people to school to obtain their dispatcher’s certification. I've been at Piedmont for 8 years.   What do you LOVE about Piedmont? 💙 I’d say it's a close-knit company and it's easy to advance within the company. Also, I will say everyone is welcoming.   I enjoy the opportunities to advance within the company. Once you join Piedmont, it's easy to move up, explore different options and continue to advance your career. This is one of my favorite things about working at Piedmont.
